“The two weeks I spent a Jowett walk were the best two weeks of my life. New cultures, new personalities, new ideologies, all in one campus. I met people I never thought I needed in my life and learn new things about myself as well as broadened my horizons regarding subjects I had interests in. The teachers were so inviting, all the students were inquisitive which made classes more interactive and dynamic. The councillors were extremely helpful and always there for us when we needed them. Always there when we needed new ping-pong balls, when we needed someone to braid our hair, or just when we needed someone to talk to. The memories I’ve made at Jowett Walk are memories that will forever be engraved in my mind. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience.”

“ORA has been a unique,fascinating and new experience for me and hopefully all my fellow peers as well.It was great being able to get an insight on your subject and learn new, interesting things that you do not learn in school from people who love and have a scizling passion for it!The teaching program,councelors and environment definitely exceeded my expectations;and I am very happy and greatful that I got to live/see all of it!I would undoubtedly recommend this program to everyone.”

“Amazing experience for my son. He came back delighted, with so many new friends from all over the world, missing every minute he spent at St Hugh's. This positive life experience is a lot more than I expected. I chose O.R.A. because of the excellence of the teaching, the best environment to improve English in the best way possible, learning a subject matter, Film Academy, having so much fun. And there has been more to that: good vibes, family spirit, vast horizons and perspectives. So intense, so emotional. My boy will remember Oxford and the O.R.A. forever.”

“my best summer i've ever encounter. it was more about personal growth than the academic achievement. i met amazing people from all over the world. friends that will last for a life time hopefully. couldn't hold my tears when time to say goodbye had to come. felt like part of me will stay in that place and i'm going home with magical memories. thank you for such experience. every end is a new beginning. love you all.”

“The accommodations were comfortable. St.Peters College was right next to town so there were beautiful views from the room windows. Lessons were challenging but engaging. I felt like I learned so many valuable skills that I will use later on in life. Would really recommend to someone that wants to spend their summer productively.”

“On the first day, I arrived not knowing how I’d be able to survive with nobody I already knew by my side. But by that night, it was obvious that everyone was as eager to learn and make friends as I was. ORA has been so rewarding academically, as well as super fun... “Oxford Royale Academy is a great place to study in the summer. I took the Broadening Horizons program and studied at Queen's College -- the college is beautiful. You get the chance to take courses and participate in activities. This includes subjects such as Experimental Psycology and Contemporary History, and activities such as Ice Skating and Bouldering. There are many diverse peers for you to build friendships with and campus team members to guide you on your way and coordinate your activities and excursions. I will list 5 pros and 5 cons, but let me tell you that overall, the pros outweigh the cons. PROS 1. Good food (they accommodate quite well to alternative diets such as vegan or gluten-free) 2. Nice accommodations 3. Ideal location (a mall, several libraries, several museums, and quality cafes/restaurants were just a short walk away) 4. Free time and activities (lots of time was given for exploring, completing assignments, and participating in optional activities) 5. Many students/good social life (at almost any time, you could head over to the junior common room to talk to a friend, compete in a game of foozball, or play a game of chess) CONS 1. Assignments (For my courses, I had 4 total assignments to complete. Although this may seem light for two weeks, it does take quite a bit of time away from socializing) 2. Food (as previously mentioned, the food tasted good, but lunch and any snacks you might want throughout the day has to be purchased independently) 3. The price (the cost for this program is quite high, considering it to be only two weeks, which makes it hard for some to attend. Thankfully, a few scholarships are given to deserving students) 4. The Wifi (almost every time you want to use the wifi, you have to sign in again, which is tiresome to some students) 5. The water (the water available to student is tap water, which is fine to drink, but if you only drink purifies water, you are going to have to get that yourself) • Hopefully my advice helps you in your decision making process. I highly enjoyed attending ORA, and I'm sure that you would too.”

“There is no other way I would have rather spent the summer than at ORA. Not only was my time here incredibly rewarding academically, but the friendships I've built for the past four weeks are bound to last a lifetime. I would highly recommend ORA for everyone and can only hope to come back very soon.”
