Purchase a vintage Celine bag on 26 July 20, the bag came from Japan and arrived in Singapore on 28 July evening, no doubt delivery was quick. However I am encountering some tax issues with custom, bag was purchased in SGD (Singapore Dollar), the invoice custom received was in USD, as such I have to pay nearly $100 more for someone mistake, with that extra amount is making the bag not worth buying. Requested OFV to looking into this as the bag is still hold by custom. Waited for 3 working days no action, no support from OFV. I tried explaining to DHL in Singapore but they said they couldn’t help, it was shipper mistake. This is my first time buying from OFV , very disappointed. Issue not solved. Not seen the bag yet.

First time ordering with OPV. Smooth transaction delivery with DHL, so in terms of ordering not a problem. Where things go wrong is when you want to return an item. Firstly the customer is not provided any return documents or labels, so you have to chase Open for Vintage to get the shipping paperwork. When the item is returned and received next day, you receive no email confirmation that the item has arrived back to them, unless you check the return tracking info yourself. 12 days later still no refund or email stating the refund has even been issued. I’ve called twice, sent emails and on my last call told that’s it’s not up to Open for Vintage to process the refund, it’s some boutique in France who are responsible. Basically Open for Vintage are passing of their responsibilities. If they‘re acting as an agent for boutiques they’re the ones that should ensure customers refunds are dealt with efficiently, as customers cannot deal with the third party boutique directly. I have bought from Vestiare Collective, Videdressing, Jolie Closet and many other designer resale sights and never had a problem if I need to return. I won’t be using this reseller again!!

On returns, Open for Vintage manage and process all returns, but can only do this once the boutique has confirmed receipt of the returned item, which is why these occasionally take longer than a few business days. We have investigated your complaint, and have seen that your return and refund request took place over the period that we were transitioning to a new customer service system. This communication error was a fault from our side, and we would like to share our sincere apologies on this. I ordered an $18k birkin bag for my girlfriend’s birthday only to be told it was cancelled the very next day and there’s still a hold on my credit card preventing me from getting her a replacement gift on time. Further, I was never given a reason for the cancellation. Awful service..

Dear Chris, We sincerely apologise that you had a poor experience. The issue is that we only have one of every item which means that sometimes they can sell in a retail store and an online customer can make a purchase before the stock level is updated. This is rare but can happen. I understand both our Boutique Manager and Head of Merchandise have reached out to you personally in order to help find a replacement. They are extremely knowledgeable so please use them as a resource. As regards the refund, having investigated this it would appear that this was done the day after the sale which fell on a weekend causing a short delay in funds being transferred back on to your card. Been waiting for my order since 28 April. Have messaged OFV and both times have said they are looking into what is happening with the courier but that is it - not keeping me informed and up to date . Needless to say I am disappointed as this is my first time using them albeit I ordered something before this item and after quite a few days got informed they had cancelled the order as it was no longer available. Not sure about using in the future as not a great experience so far

Product is excellent, shame I had to chase the delivery so many times. Was showing shipped but didn't move from France for over 15 days. I contacted the customer support on 5 occasions through the chat to chase it up and had different explanations. One saying it was coming from Japan to France then to UK. I accepted this and waited. It didn't move on the DHL shipping page. I contacted DHL and they told me it was only a label printed, no item was collected. This got me worried, so I contacted my credit card company (PAY WITH CREDIT CARD!) and they assured me if it didn't arrive I was insured Phew. Then finally today 18th December 19 days after the order it arrived. Thankyou to all the chat helpers at OfV, I know it was not you who are responsible for the delays and well done for finally resolving it. Something obviously went wrong at the order process stage.

I ordered a pair of vintage Givenchy earrings from Open for Vintage and I couldn’t be more pleased with both the service, and the product, I received. I received my earrings in just 2 days! They were packaged beautifully, and safely, to prevent damage to the earrings and the box. The quality of the earrings are absolutely amazing - they look good as new, zero marks/scratches on them whatsoever, and overall they appear & feel very high quality. I am overall very happy after shopping with Open for Vintage and won’t hesitate to shop with them again!
