“Off The Map Travel tailor-made our trip to Lapland for us and everything was so well organised there was no stress for us whatsoever. We just had to turn up at the times allocated and enjoy the experience Katie had booked for us. We will definitely check them first for future bookings. “Just returned from a wonderful few days in Bjorkliden which is a very special place. We were lucky enough to see the aurora while we were there and thoroughly enjoyed all the activities we took - photography tour, dog sledding, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. It was a very special break. Thank you.”

“I booked with Katie and she was very quick and efficient throughout the booking process far quicker than any other provider. Her communication before during and after the trip has been fantastic and incredibly supportive. On the ground both Jonny and Katie were great ensuring we were looked after - offering us tips and advice and even shouting us when the lights were showing so that we got to see them!”

“From our initial dealings with Off The Map Travel as part of the planning phase, we were really impressed with the knowledge, helpfulness and overall focus they showed us in helping to plan our trip. As part of the travelling itself, the arrangements were really clear and everything worked really smoothly, helping us enjoy the break away. Sadly, we were not successful in seeing the Northern Lights but we always knew this was not guaranteed and, because of the way were treated throughout, it didn't detract from the holiday.”

“I have just come back from a great trip to northern Norway with my 11-year old son, organised brilliantly by Katie Watson at Off the Map Travel. We had three nights in Tromso, and one in a Sami-style tent in the Lyngen Alps. Katie put together the itinerary for us, with tips and suggestions from her own personal experience - and she got everything right! Not only that, but she took a personal interest in how our trip was going, and contacted our guides in Norway before and during the trip to discuss the weather, my son's nut allergy, etc. We were very lucky to see the Northern Lights on three of our four nights - I guess that was mainly down to good luck with the weather and the sun's activity - but Katie definitely did everything possible in her power to make it a fantastic trip.”

“Booking through Off the Map Travel was so easy for us. Katie was great to deal with and she made us feel very relaxed and taken cared of. She arranged activities and a rental car for us to get the most out of our vacation. She kindly answered all our questions and helped us with everything. We will definitly book more trips with Off the Map Travel.”

“Off the Map Travel could not have done more to make our holiday to Bjorkliden a success. Katie was so helpful and obliging in the planning stages, she really thought about our requirements and tailored a holiday to suit us .Once in resort both Katie and Jonny went out of their way to ensure we got the most out of our Swedish experience-their knowledge of the area and links with other providers such as Lights Over Lapland were invaluable to us. Off the Map Travel have a friendly, personal touch-even after our return they forwarded photographs from excursions-we cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“Having searched quite intensively for a Northern Lights holiday that included everything on our wish list we found Off The Map were the most flexible, pro-active and obliging so we went with them. One of our day activities was a train journey to and from the Norwegian coast and when we found the train times had changed to run only in one direction each day Off The Map didn't just dismiss our activity - they thought about it and came up with a solution! So Jonny drove us to the coast and we got the train back, which in fact turned out to be an even better experience than getting the train both ways! Katie responded quickly to the multitude of pre (and post) holiday questions and while we were in Bjorkliden they both made our holiday a fantastic experience. We would have no hesitation recommending them to others or using them again ourselves.”

“Our traveling dates were proving to be awkward with most of the regular companies and so we chose Off the Map, who were completely flexible. They were brilliant. Patient, accommodating and with loads of helpful advice as we amended and re-amended our itinerary which included ice climbing and snow-mobiles. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble and their responses by email and phone were always prompt. When we arrived, they did not change. They helped us with everything, and we were never left to 'sort it out ourselves' A trip to the supermarket, a last minute decision to try skiing lessons? All sorted out at the drop of a hat. Katie and Jonny took our mobile numbers to make sure we were kept informed about any Northern Lights which might show - and we did not have to wait long. Bjorkliden was perfect for viewing the lights and we had the most spectacular display the first night we were there, and more after that. I am now seriously considering going back in the summer to ski in the midnight sun!”

“A dream holiday experience, anyone who wants to see the Northern Lights should go with Off The Map. The whole process of booking a bespoke holiday, expedition kit and flights was made so easy. Jonny, our guide for the holiday, went above and beyond to make it such a special holiday. His knowledge and friendly approach, flexibility and willingness to help could not be faulted. Off The Map is a great company to deal with and we fully recommend them. Jonny showed us the wilderness of the arctic circle to its full and with him and Off The Map we had such a great experience and holiday. They were full of good advice before we left and brilliant whilst we were at Bjorkliden. Our holiday was topped off with four nights of seeing the Northern Lights in all its glory with great pictures to show our family and friends. If you have not already contacted Off The Map, don't delay they are brilliant. 10/10”

“The team at Off The Map Travel could not have been more helpful. Katie designed a personalised itinerary for our trip and arranged everything with the hotel on our behalf and also identified appropriate flights for us too. The team were very flexible to changes in our planned travel dates and were always on hand to answer questions to help us prepare for our trip. There were two third party companies recommended to us by Off the Map Travel for flights and cold weather kit hire and both provided a high quality of customer service. Off the Map Travel took the the effort and the stress out of booking our holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

“From start to finish Off The Map Travel provided a first class & personal service. They tailor-made a holiday for us; satisfying all our requirements and were on hand prior to departure and in Bjorkliden to offer support. Yes, other tour companies do this, however Katie & Jonny ensured everything was as near perfect as possible This adventure exceeded all our expectations. The activities we participated in were incredible and made this trip very special. The icing on the cake was the Northern Lights which were truly spectacular. However, I have to say that had we not been lucky enough to see them the holiday we experienced would still have been fantastic”

“We booked a bespoke Northern Lights experience through Off the Map Travel. They provided a very friendly and helpful booking process, with any queries answered promptly. We used Dial a Flight for our flights as recommended by Jonny and they also proved very efficient and helpful. We were given lots of useful information prior to travelling and once at the resort Jonny and Katie were on hand to facilitate the smooth running of our holiday. They are extremely knowledgable about the area and the Northern lights, which gave us the best chance of seeing them. The trips they arranged for us (dog sledding and snowmobiling) were well organised and great fun with friendly and enthusiastic tour guides. We can not recommend this company highly enough and we will definitely be using them again.”

“Just back from 6 days in Sweden arranged through Off the Map Travel. We started our trip with an overnight stopover in Stockholm. Jonny recommended the Elite Marina Tower hotel which proved to be a great choice. The following day we transferred up to Kiruna. we were met at the airport by Katie and taken to Bjorkliden. We then had 5 days of activities which we had mainly pre booked before departure. Every activity was enjoyed by all the family and when we wanted to arrange additional things Jonny and Katie were on hand to help organise things. There passion and enthusiasm shines through and this rubs off on you. On the last night we were fortunate to have an amazing Aurora display and both Jonny and Katie were on hand throughout and I think there were as excited as we were. I would highly recommend OTM to anyone looking to enjoy the delights of the Northern Lights. Jonny also put us in touch with an Expedition Kit hire company and Dial a Flight who also helped make our trip a great experience.”

“Amazing! Right from the initial booking to the holiday adventure I cannot speak highly enough about Off the Map. They arranged a fantastic itinerary for our whole family. At every stage we had plenty of useful information and they even responded within a few hours when we had a small query part way through the holiday. We would not have had the confidence and local knowledge to arrange the holiday ourselves so a huge thank you goes to those lovely people at OTM who sorted out a holiday to remember.”

“Superb! Off the Map provided a unique and totally 'bespoke' service for our Northern Lights half term holiday in Sweden. Nothing was too much trouble for Katie and Johnny who seemed to be on hand for their customers 24/7! Their enthusiasm and passion for providing amazing holidays for their clients was plain for all to see. Very personal touch, rare in holiday travel companies. They tailored flights perfectly to suit us, altered hotel dining times to suit outings, organised veggie meals in a very non-veggie environment, sorted a perfect family itinerary, they were in constant touch with all their customers..(non 'off the map' people in the same resort were jealous! ) they even wiped tears on ski slopes (we were lucky they were in the resort when we were!) Totally recommend this travel company ! we'll definitely use them again - maybe to sweden - maybe somewhere else? Off the Map are the aurora/adventure people to go to!”
