We are a small, independent company, based in the North of England, specializing in bicycles for all the family, with an emphasis on kids’ bikes.

Bikes have been a passion of ours since the late 1970s when it all began from a small shop in Idle, Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We believe in the bicycle - it’s a health tool, a transport solution, and a sport. A bike can unite friends and family for enjoyable days out, or extract your full potential in racing.

Over the course of 200 years, bicycles have undergone many changes and have transformed the way we travel, exercise and enjoy ourselves.

Against the backdrop that our society is continually facing concerning health and transportation challenges, we see bikes as part of the solution to the nation’s problems.

“Stunned by the excellent service we received recently from North Bikes. Despite the Covid lockdown, the bike I ordered arrived the next day and is gorgeous. I did a lot of internet shopping and it was also the best price.”

“We purchased a 20” (wheel) Ridgeback for our son’s Xmas present. I selected North Bikes on the strength of the glowing reviews and we were not disappointed. They throughly deserve what has been submitted by other reviewers and the bike arrived with us (on the south coast) within just a couple of days of ordering. North Bikes happily confirmed by email that we could have an alternative free gift set of lights (as we already had the trip computer in their offer) and this all arrived as agreed in a perfect undamaged box.. as were the contents. Definitely the complete opposite of many other bike shop reviews. I’d recommend North Bikes to anyone (wherever you are in Uk) and would buy from them again.”

“I came across North Bikes after a frantic google search as I had just been informed by another company that I would not receive the children’s bike I had ordered until January- no good for a Christmas present. I thought it was going to be too late being mid way through November. I phoned up as the website stated that they were expecting a delivery shortly. The man I spoke to was lovely he told me that he would phone me back when he knew they were coming. He phoned me back that afternoon and made one available on the website just for me. A couple of days later my daughters bike arrived and my nightmare was over. What amazing customer service!”
