About North Bikes:

We are a small, independent company, based in the North of England, specializing in bicycles for all the family, with an emphasis on kids’ bikes.

Bikes have been a passion of ours since the late 1970s when it all began from a small shop in Idle, Bradford, West Yorkshire.

We believe in the bicycle - it’s a health tool, a transport solution, and a sport. A bike can unite friends and family for enjoyable days out, or extract your full potential in racing.

Over the course of 200 years, bicycles have undergone many changes and have transformed the way we travel, exercise and enjoy ourselves.

Against the backdrop that our society is continually facing concerning health and transportation challenges, we see bikes as part of the solution to the nation’s problems.

North Bikes is committed to encouraging people to get out on their bikes and enjoy the benefits of cycling!

“Fantastic service, ordered our sons bike on the Monday and it was with us by the Thursday. It came with a bell and pump that we weren't expecting. Will certinly use again if we need another bike. Thank you”

“After being let down very badly by a bike shop in the south, I had to look else where for a bike for my Granddaughter who was desperate for a yellow bike, North Bikes came up trumps, the bike arrived 2 days later, excellent service, I would highly recommend to anyone.”

“Ordered a small kids kick stand. Courier was delayed so contacted North Bikes direct as concerned. Could not have been more helpful. They chased it up themselves, provided me with ongoing updates, item arrived next day. Would buy again from here.”

“Easy to order and came very promptly. If you are not a bike mechanic it took a long time to assemble as the handle bars, front brakes, and front wheel were all disassembled. Very poor instructions, dangerously so in the case of the front wheel locking hook (no instructions in the box at all). Still working on getting the front brakes right.”

“I called up North Bikes Friday afternoon to see if they could get a bike in the post for my little girls birthday on Monday, I knew I had left it quite late to order and it was a tall ask, however the gentleman on the phone was really accommodating and said he could get it to us in time, it arrived at 8 am Saturday morning!! I was so impressed with the speedy arrival, not even 24 hours from order to delivery! David also sent through detailed instructions on how to assemble the bike via email, although it was fairly straightforward to put together it was nice to have as a backup. Would highly recommend this company, they were very helpful and delivered a quality, well packaged bike ready for a very happy little girl on her birthday.”

“I was let down by a woom supplier. They told me they had the bike in red and the day before it was meant to be shipped out to me, they told me they didn’t have it but had other colours so I contacted North bikes and sorted the problem, straight away and still managed to get here in time for my son’s birthday. Haven’t thanked them personally so if the company is reading thank you 😊”
