“Reduces large powerpoint files very well in most cases; would be 5* except that with some of these files it gives "0 byte XML" error. Running on Mac Mojave, no issues with use inside Finder.”

“I've used NXPowerLite for many years - it's a great tool for sending large attachments by email...because although yes, you can send someone a Box link, we all know that it's easier to just open an attachment! The only reason it's not 5 stars is that maybe 10% of the time I still run into Ppt files where NXP inexplicably can't do any compression. But overall a fine tool.”

“It's really helpful. But sometimes it shows error when I try to compress some PDF that I made with Keynote. Some of these PDFs are OK, others weren't. I hope it can show me the reason when compression failed.”

Hello there - thanks for the feedback. We agree that it is frustrating and not very clear why some PDFs or other files do not compress. We are adding a feature to NXPowerLite Desktop v9 (due 1st half 2020) that will analyze and present the breakdown of the content to highlight why files may not be reduced. “NX Pwr Lt is very useful tool! Some issues need to be addresses. Compression Profile fine tuning is bit time consuming to get desired effect. Its geared towards low file size, but sometimes need to apply to reduce just a little bit (for example for design presentations) so takes a bit of hit and trial. “It works fine expept PowerPoint which I had to convert each time to the older version - ppt I've tried both NXPowerLite and WeCompress ... and I noticed that WeCompress did better job (better compression for pdf file - 80%)”

“Shrinking JPG works great. Resize images would be more useful when also an option to set your own size instead only pre-set sizes. Other options not used for the moment.”

Hello there, NXPowerLite does not resize JPEGs by default it keeps them in the original resolution but still manages to work its magic to compress the files by up to 60%! NXPowerLite does also include options to resize your JPEG files too, so you don't need to use other software. Just create yourself a custom profile and enable the option to resize in the JPEG tab and you'll be able to select a resolution to suit. Hope that helps! Andy, Customer Success Team
