“Awesome! Really helpful and easy to use. I especially like that you can optimise files by right clicking them in the finder without even having to open the program, and that there are options when doing this to either replace and backup the original or simply create a new file. So handy :)”

“I have in the past had a great deal of trouble with needing to send large PDFs as to emails. I was relieved to see that there were programs that were specifically designed to reduce the size of PDFs and successfully used an expensive, commercially designed program for this. I then discovered Neuxpowerr light for windows I was extremely pleased to find that exceeded the performance of my previous application. That and the fact that it was far more reasonably designed to fit my own modest pocket was additionally advantageous to me. I would recommend this program to anyone who needs to reduce the size of attachments. John Kay”

“I was having difficulty shrinking a large document. When I told Neuxpower I was told to send the document. Within 24 hours they returned a reduced document to me with advice regarding why the problem might have occurred. Great sense of real people engaged with finding every little tweak possible to make their program the best it can be.”

“I have not encountered such an effective piece of software for compressing pdf files. I have often found in my occupation as a graphic designer, that editing existing pdf files in Adobe Illustrator such as price lists converted to forms, in Acrobat Reader, causes the file size to balloon out to a size that is far from practical to send and/or work with. Recently I had a PDF Form file that was 6MB expand to an astonishing 150MB after editing graphics in the document in Illustrator. I used NX Powerlite for Mac to optimise it for screen use again. Crisis averted! The resulting file was only 3MB, AND still retained all its 'Form' properties. No loss of image quality either. I'm now using NX Powerlite for any larger print files too as it frequently halves the file size. I would recommend this as a most effective tool, and definitely worth the money spent. Many thanks!”

“It's cheep and it mostly does what it says it'll do. Warning though. It does NOT support sub-folders. It can only process the top level folder you drag and drop into the application. So if you have organized your files into folders like many of us have this is a massive pain and really takes away from the purpose of the product. I emailed support and they educated me about how sub-folder processing is a "business" class feature and it's my good luck it's currently available in their server based product! What good fortune! Also you may be interested in this product to process "lots" of PDF files. Well it does, slowly. It's only uses one process so it does not matter how many CPU cores your computer has it will run slow. Again you are in luck! If you contact support they will explain to you how this is simply a business class feature and currently available on the server edition. Wow, I never knew a guy like me and my little laptop had such enterprise and business class needs! Perhaps I should upgrade to a server?! For a program that's using all free and open-source tools to do the PDF processing it's sure light on features. All the program does is create a script that runs all the PDF through free tools the author is using. Nothing wrong with this at all. This is just my review and my feedback on my project to process my PDF directory.”

Hi there. Thanks for your comments. I have spoken with my colleagues about your issues. the product owners are aware of the limitations of NXPowerLite with various different workflows and we will be improving them in version 8 of NXP desktop. One improvement means it will have the ability to traverse subfolders. The idea being that the folder structure will remain in-tact so there is no manual moving around of files. I will notify you when the new software is released early next year in the hope that it will work better for you. I will also ensure that you get a complimentary updated registration key for the new software. I hope that you continue to get some use out of NXPowerLite Desktop v7, but if not, my offer of a refund still applies. Best regards James

“I have been using NXPowerlite since I helped beta test the first ever version and love it! I was still using Version 4 until Emma gave me a prod to upgrade to Version 7. I ran a test and saw that Version 7 managed to reduce a 40Mb Powerpoint presentation to less than 4Mb when Version 4 had failed to reduce the file size at all. Customer service has always been excellent with prompt and personal feedback. Keep up the great work guys :-)”
