Difficult to negotiate around the system. The computer won't let you change things. Feels a bit faceless. Useful not to keep filling out applications however.

Having applied for a safeguarding role I was really surprised to see my name on their trust safeguarding policy. I left the trust in 2021! I don’t go to the interview because I take safeguarding seriously and their policy was way out of date!

Give specific reason you're not considering a candidate. One major reason is because of being non-native, you are missing out on excellent candidates because of this.

Completing the application was very easy and great if you completed a second application. However, the wrong closing date was on the application as that was half term. I received an email off the school at 3:15 23/05 to attend an interview on the 24/05. Which to plan is very short notice, but I did attend the interview on the Friday 24/05 where there was me and another candidate, but was advised that there was going to be another two candidates for the interview in half term. I felt disappointed on why was this not offered to me and felt that it was an unfair interview process. It should have been that all candidates attended the same day and completed the same interview process.

Regarding the short notice for the interview, we understand your concern - Unfortunately, we have no involvement related to applications and how interview dates are processed, this is done solely by the school. We would recommend you discuss this further with the school you applied to, we are sure the school will be willing to listen and understand your concerns.

I will only review if i receive feed from the schools i applied to because since i submitted applications using myNewTerm i haven't hear back from any of the school, so i can't rate you guys yet.

No feedback on my unsuccesful job application. Couldn't reapply for a job without withdrawing my previous job application. Poor system all round really.

Although it is a useful site to find opportunities, I believe that schools prioritise candidates with a direct approach, rather than applying here. The template is not the most fortunate to explain someone´s skills or their professional journey and transitions. Therefore, I personally find that a direct contact with the school or schools, when possible, works better in terms of obtaining the job.

It's a lot to write. There's no such thing as I'll quickly apply. People already put so much work into their CVs and 2000 characters for a supporting statement. Good grief!

The Personal Statement section requires you to write 2000 characters. This is not practical for many non teaching job roles such as a school cleaner or lunchtime supervisor candidates who have little or no job experience or education acadamia. Some may not even have the ability to write so much but have good ability to do the job well So you're forced to copy and past the same paragrapgh 20 times just so you can submit your application.
