Remembers your info and easy to use Doesn't ask schools to give feedback needed to improve

Thank you so much for your feedback on MyNewTerm, Ruby. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience. Unfortunately, we don't provide that information, you can contact the school directly for feedback needed to improve.

It is not user friendly in my opinion, which makes it difficult to apply for jobs. There is a lot of information required and after completing the profile the application should be one click away as I’ve already taken the time to create an in depth extremely detailed profile. But when you’d like to apply it takes you again to personal statement and another set of questions etc The job role description in employment history section is useless as this is something you would normally discuss at the interview stage. Overall a very lengthy process which is a shame as so many schools and nurseries are using my new term.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Helen. We are of course disappointed to see you have only rated 2* and we would be interested to know what we could do to enhance the application process?

The job was advertised on here, but someone who was from the eyfs area told their parent “i met my new teacher today” this was before the deadline of the application. If this is the case this wasn’t a fair process as someone had got the job before the deadline of the application.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review at MyNewTerm. This is unfortunately not something we would know here at MyNewTerm as we are in no way involved in the interview process. Schools just use our service to advertise available vacancies and manage candidate applications. Wishing you the best of luck with any future applications.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review at MyNewTerm. If you are not successful in securing an interview, schools would not ordinarily provide feedback at this stage due to the high number of applications they receive. We would recommend checking back through your personal statement to ensure you addressed each of the essential requirements in the person specification. Your profile will be all saved at MyNewTerm making it much easier to apply going forward. Wishing you the best of luck with any future applications!

Hi, I didn’t receive an email regarding the interview until I heard from the school itself this afternoon - I hadn’t confirmed. They forwarded to me and I am busy preparing this evening for an interview in the morning.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Jeanette. I can see an email was sent out and successfully delivered to your email at 10.11am. Due to the time of year, many schools are having very short turn-around times for interview hence why they have invited you in for tomorrow. I can see this is an internal application for the school you currently work at. Wishing you the best of luck for your interview!

System too detailed. Bring back the c v! Uploading c.v not possible on site. Emails from company telling you mistakes made on application. Formnis hard enough. Gaps in history unaccepted when most people will have gaps. Interviews will usually clear this up. Asking for deployment history since leaving school is impossible for most. I applied for jobs within the Police Force and their application system far easier to navigate with help given by system during the process. I have called a school a long time ago, enquiring about a position, they actually apologised saying I had to use this system to apply, adding that they knew it was difficult but we can't accept c.vs anymore. I'm not looking at school jobs anymore purely because of this system of application. It would have to be a very special job to apply via this system again. Mostly I assume algorithms are used to search for potential employees via apparently 'the most impostamt part of your application' personal statement. I would have thought knowledge and experience were the most important and the whole point of interviews was to vet the characters and personalities at that time. You're losing a great deal of eally good potential employees through this system.

Found it hard to fill in because they ask you to write 2000 word and think that’s too much . Just for a job been on better job sites .

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Michelle. To confirm, it is only 2000 characters (not words) which is needed for the personal statement. This is only a couple of paragraphs. It is essential schools recieve a personal statement detailing how you meet the specific requirements of the role to assist with shortlisting. Unlike other sectors, schools are unable to accept CVs hence why a fully completed application is required. Using MyNewTerm, you only need to complete your profile ONCE and it is then saved for future applications. Wishing you the best of luck with your application(s) and please do get in touch if we can be of any further assistance!

Website is fine but the application form is frustrating. Especially inappropriate/illegal to demand that applicants state whether they've taken maternity leave before (and to state that it is a legal requirement to provide that information). I wouldn't have used the website to apply if I had a choice.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear you found the website fine to use. In regards the application, in order to comply with Safer Recruitment guidelines schools are required to view the full employment history of candidates with any gaps in employment explained with the dates and reasons. This is the same for all school application forms and a requirement in order to comply with Keeping Children Safe in Education. There is no specific reference to maternity leave on the application, only that all gaps in employment must be explained. We have tried to reach out to you to clarify this further. We wish you the best of luck with your recent applications and please do get in touch if we can be of any further assistance.
