“My mk1 na seemed be be running very hot in the cabin especially around the gear lever and transmission tunnel area. I assumed that a heat shield had deteriorated or fallen out as I never remembered the car running so hot. I rang mx5 parts and there the very helpful staff advised me that the gear lever inner gaiter may have failed and therefore letting heat from the exhaust and catalyst straight into the car. Part kit was ordered and arrived very quickly as usual . Car problem sorted. Couple days later I ordered new gearlever and whilst quite expensive has totalled transformed or back to the precise gear shift I bought the car for all those years ago.! Thanks mx5 parts!!”

“Purchased flexy brake lines kit for my ND and figured that i would need some new copper washers as well because the kit did not show any as part of the kit, to my dismay when the kit arrived it included the washers and i could have saved about £12 if mx5 parts had been a bit more upfront and told me i wouldnt need them, alas i think sales volume is king not customer service with mx5parts. The kit itself was fine but a challenge to fit correctly as the flexi lines need fitting in an exact orientation to ensure the job is done safely, I found that fitting the body coupling first then work your way to the calyper worked the best.”

“Tonneau covers for my Mk3 arrived promptly, and once I worked out how they fitted ( not immediately obvious to a non mechanic) they look great. One thing I would strongly recommend is to put a hat or other receptacle into the void under the fitting area to avoid dropping nuts or washers, never to be seen again. They do look very good when fitted.”
