I booked in for new front shock absorbers to be fitted in my VW Golf. the day it was done I was abut to take it out and it made a horrendous sound (grinding, clanking and all). I immediately stopped my car, still at their premises, and spoke to the chap inside and he tested and said see if it continues to make the same issue during the weekend otherwise we will have to book it in on Monday morning. Obviously I had to endure this very dangerous and inconvenient issue during my driving job as I use my car for deliveries, and then took it in the Monday morning for a further inspection. Waited about half hour and they said it's all sorted. Explained to me that the suspension and everything was all fine but there was just some stone or debris caught in there somewhere and it is now sorted. Well after another morning of driving it away, the SAME issue was still persistent and had to call them yet again to get a further examination for an issue that shouldn't have been there in the first place! I am now on the third inspection of this inconvenient and annoying issue and am waiting in the reception and typing this review. SO much inconvenience caused and disruption to everything and STILL no positive result!

Ordered my tires online and booked in for 8:30 today, arrived at the Farnworth branch shutters half down so had to go under them. Walked in and person behind counter still counting the till "money everywhere". once he noticed I was there he then told me they didn't have my tires in stock, didn't offer me any alternative... and then told me it happens to loads of customers and they keep telling head office to check stock before sending customers down. So all in all the shops don't know what head office are doing and head office don't know what the shops are doing. Went to another supplier straight after who got me tires within the hour and did my full brakes. so spent £600 with them. You also need to tidy up the appearance of your staff the lad on the counter looked very tired or unwell.

Our car failed the mot because Mr tyre put our tyre on the wrong way round. We have driven this car for 11months and would not have been insured if we had an accident. When I challenged them they were not bothered he said "it happens". What an attitude could not care less. AVOID THIS COMPANY did mot even apologise.

Mr Tyre fitted 4 new tyres to my sons vehicle, when he took it for it's MOT 5 days later it failed as a result of the N/S/F wheel being loose, obviously they'd omitted tightening the wheel studs sufficiently when refitting the wheel. That in itself is very poor service and attention to detail but the wider implications surrounding safety and the potential danger of a road traffic incident could have catastrophic!

Booked in for tyres and arrived at the allotted time to be told they wouldn't be able to fit them. Very poor service as I should have been given my slot while the other customers waited. Otherwise what is the point of a booking system.

Beware! Work done on front brake pads, replaced but they could not reset BMW on-board computer, asked to revisit next day. Managed to reset on second appointment after I had called in because clip holding front brakes came off during driving! Apparently the clip has no function according to assistant in Mr Tyre. Managed to reattach clip and while doing so knocked a dust disc, car was making a grinding noise and again the disc has no function, so they said. 4 weeks and still waiting for replacement disc, avoid, unprofessional, dangerous and under trained!

I rang your Reddit he branch the day before to get 2 tyres for my car, they said they can get them the next so I said I will be there at 3 o'clock. I turned up at 3 o'clock as advised. I spoke to a guy called rob who told me there would be a half an hour wait. I was the only one in the reception. One of the other guys came in and asked for my keys. I told them I was told to wait only to find out rob had actually gone to shop. Robs attitude was terrible. I bring my company car to your company and I also bring my wife's car in. I am seriously considering going elsewhere.

Customer Service is diabolical. I sent a request to see if they do all season tyres. I got a reply saying that they had to order them in and send them a reply with my registration and tyre size. I did this the next day and the day after. After 3 days, I'm still waiting for a reply. It's a good job that the people that fit the tyres are a damn sight better then their customer service centre.

We are sorry to read your comments. As mentioned in your review, to identify suitable tyres for your vehicle we need your registration number which you returned to us 2 days after your initial request. Upon receiving this, we replied on the same day. We're glad that you found our fitters to meet your expectations and hope that you'll consider us again in the future.

Very disappointed to find out my local mr tyre (shrewsbury) has now decided that they don't work on land rovers. They were my first choice for tyre tracking and alignment for the large wheels and I have now been told I will have to go elsewhere.

Dear Hannah, I am sorry you are disappointed that we couldn't adjust the alignment on your Landrover. I understand from the store that this is a modified vehicle and that's the reason we couldn't be sure of the settings. We advised you of this at the time and complete a free wheel alignment inspection for you. This doesn't mean we don't work on Landrovers, but as with all modified vehicles, the manufacturers settings can't be used as the geometry has changed. I hope this explains the situation for you.

So took took my car to your Stafford branch for it's MOT... It failed. Took my Car from Mr Tyre very reputable garage. long standing in the Stafford area with a outstanding reputation. They look at the very long list and scratch their head a little bit and looked at each other in dismay. They carried out all the work needed (these are expert mechanics after all) I took the car back within the ten days to have its free check up, to my horror and dismay they failed it again on the breaks.......... but said don't worry we sell these. I took the car back to the reputable garage and said look its failed again .... we had a long and deep discussion, the garage explained they had done all the work needed to pass the MOT. Unsure what else they could do ..... They suggested taking it to another MOT centre, as there seem to be a problem. I took my car to another MOT centre that was recommended by many and it past first time, with no adjustment to the fail given to me by Mr Tyre. I WANT MY MONEY BACK plus compensation for the hassle that I've gone through and "no I'm not buying brake discs from you" Let me know !!!!

Don't use the online booking service. I booked mine in for 9.30 at Redditch. I arrived at the garage at 9.28 and because 2 people had just turned up without booking about 2 minutes before me, they were given priority! I don't think they can tell the time here because they said I'd have about a 20minute wait. It's now 10.40 and I still haven't had my tyre done. Had to walk out as can't wait any longer

went into the Louth branch and had two new (budget) tyres on my car, and from day one the wheels was exclusively spinning on set off in all weathers- more so in the slightest wet, it was the branch manager that put these on and was not the ones that i had found on line but was told they was to the same standard. not feeling safe driving with these tyres i called and then branch manager was day off, i was told to go back when he was in and they would sort it! Taken them on there word hoping that they would at least look at it as I have had budget tyres on this car for the past few times (although it be from somewhere else and never had this type of issue) with no issues, on going into the branch the manager that fitted these just laughed and said "what do you expect from a budget tyre" with regards too the tyres. I was very shocked and asked for there head office contacts and said "I did not want to talk to him about it as my safety was not a joking matter", when is sales director call the branch the manager told him that this was abuse so he would look at the car ( safety in this trade should be up most important and is not a laughing matter) how is saying to someone who is meant to be of the standard of a manger, I don't want to talk to you in any way abuse of any kind. All I will say is if your thinking of using this branch, think long and hard before your do, but I know that I will never return there and would never let any of my family even if it meant giving them money towards tyres to go else where

Dear Customer, We’re very sorry that you were unhappy with the service you received upon visiting our branch on this occasion as we strive to provide the best customer service possible, something all our branches pride themselves on. We can confirm that this matter has been looked into, with the budget tyres you purchased not performing as you had desired. It was explained by a branch manager that the budget tyres would not grip as well as a more expensive option, and we are of course sorry to hear the product did not live up to your expectations. On this occasion, as a gesture of goodwill, we replaced the budget tyres (£44.00 each) for a more expensive brand (£59.00 each) free of charge the next morning. We have a high review rating from our customers, something which highlights how far we go to accommodate everyone who visits Mr Tyre. We work very hard to ensure the satisfaction of all our customers, and would like to apologise again if you feel you did not receive the best service possible. Kind regards,

I booked an MOT and full service for my Ford Fusion for 20th December. I then changed my mind and called in to the Daventry branch to bring the date forward. It was a good job I did because they had only booked the MOT and not the service. I was told that the service would cost me £139.95 and £19.95 for the MOT. When I went to pick up my car I noticed, at the reception desk, that the service sheet advertising the prices of the service,s said that the full service priced at £139.95 was for cars over 1400cc. As my car was 1200cc I should have been charged £99.95. I pointed this out to the man serving me. He said the extra charge was because They had put Ford oil in which costs more. I said that I wasn't happy with that explanation and knew that it would not cost £40 extra just for named oil and I knew for a fact they had booked my in for a £139.95 service. He begrudgingly gave me a bit of discount on my bill, but it was the fact that they were happy to try and diddle me that I didn't like. I won't be going back

Dear Sue, I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your visit to our store. To clarify, your vehicle is a 1.4cc vehicle and uses a specialist, Ford Specification, fully synthetic oil. This type of oil does incur an additional surcharge and that is documented on our special offer leaflets. We proudly use only the highest quality and correct grades of oil when carrying out our servicing programme. However, as there was clearly some confusion, our Centre Manager gave a £25 discount as a goodwill gesture off your Major Service. I am very sorry that you feel we tried to diddle you but I can assure you that is not the case. As a company with 34 garages and over 40 years of trading, we consider excellent customer service to be of paramount importance to our business. Kind Regards Dwain Andrews Regional Manager

I have been a customer of North Staffs Tyre and Batteries/Mr Tyre for 35 years, unfortunately the customer service that I experienced on Saturday the 15th of October (Longton-lightwood road branch) from some of the count staff was woeful . The service that I experienced from the two younger members of staff (There were three gentlemen on the counter at the time of 8.40 am ) was juvenile and highly unprofessional - these members of staff should not be customer facing. I can not , in all honesty , now recommend this Garage.

I don't think that is a fair policy do you .
