“I went there recently for my MOT and as i had a probem with my clutch they were really friendly and explained everything to me, they called me when MOT was finished and all STAFF was really friendly.

“I've been using Mr Clutch in Chelmsford for almost 4 years now and they always do a great job at the most reasonable prices. When I first started using them I was unsure as I always think big companies will rip you off because they are more able to afford this than an independent mechanic so I used to get a second quote but Mr Clutch beat it everytime with their first offer. They never charge extra for smaller things like topping up oil and they are always really honest and don't charge when it turns out to be a smaller job and go above and beyond when they don't have to. So nice to have somewhere to take the car that you can really trust.”

Looked online and was really impressed with the speed and availability of appointments at Mr Clutch, especially good that they do them on Saturdays. I was able to book the MOT for the very next day - which was a Saturday - and this saved me from lots of hassle with the DVLA. Without this quick service I'd have had to keep my car off-road 'til I could get the test done. They did not recommend any additional work to pass the MOT even though there was one advisory item. MOT passed in first attempt for both the cars. The Fishponds branch were polite, helpful and friendly. I will definitely use them again. The only issue I had was that the branch does not have the correct equipment to switch off my Fiat 500's service light and I would have to go to the Bedminster branch to do so or pay for it elsewhere. Obviously this is a bit of a hassle, so I hope that next time I need it serviced they'll have the equipment for it!”

I had taken my car to halfords in the past and was constantly messed about with promises about how long it would be and about ordering parts. They had me waiting 4 hours for just the MOT. Mr clutch did it in 40mins while I waited. Would recommend!”
“I booked for MOT only but expected a hefty bill for things that didn't need doing. That was far from the case.
I pre booked and paid via the internet so I was in and out in under 40 minutes. Whilst I waited a was able to observe how other customers were treated. Alan on the desk (I think he must be the manager) was very courteous and pleasant to everyone who came in, from young to old, gents and ladies.
What was also nice to see was a smile on the faces of the staff.
I would happily go there again.
