I made an online booking at Mr Clutch (Reading) for an "Aircon Recharge and Clean" service. At the time I was surprised that I was only able to book a date and not a time slot. I called the branch straight after booking and agreed an appointment time the following day. I asked how long the process would take and was advised up to an hour. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early and left them to it. I returned around an hour later expecting to happily wait out the last part of the service in the waiting room. However on my approach to the branch I noticed my car hadn't even moved. The staff at the the service desk told me they were having problems with the machine and they had moved the car back out into the car park, which I find hard to believe as it was found exactly as left. They eventually got the car back onto the machine and performed the service. I was left waiting in the waiting room and was offered no more than a brief explanation and apology. The service was successfully completed and I finally got my car back two and a half hours after my appointment time. The member of staff at the service desk did apologise once more before I left but I felt it too little, too late. The reason for three stars however is that I paid only £32.95 with a voucher code for a service that usually costs £64.95 and was happy with the newly chilled aircon in my car. Not so sure I would use again, but despite the time taken it offered good value for money.

I have taken my car to mr clutch for the last 2 to 3 years for a mot and each time the car goes in on time and they let me know how long it's going to take and all the staff are friendly and the price of the mot is really good to.

I was promptly checked in for the aircon offer and told it would be 1 1.5 hours. When I returned it was ready apart from waiting 5mins for the antibacterial spray smell to ease a bit. Unfortunately at my next call at a local tyre outlet the fitter found two caps left on the bonnet so I had to return to Mr Clutch to get then put on properly

With 2hrs to go to my MOT.. I get this call... My car should be having its first MOT since I bought it right now....But the garage cancelled 2hrs prior due to the Assessor having a day off?.....I booked this over a week ago & now my insurance will be invalidated on MOT's last day!! Plus it's thrown my plans out by doing next day!! I also find I have a good customer voucher for £20-yet as I booked online I paid £24! Thanks for the consideration Mr Clutch!!

Very friendly and professional service, they forgot to order the parts that I needed, but were very apologetic, on the whole, I would use them again, we are after all, only human, many thanks for getting my car through it's MOT.

Great price and service. MOT and aux belt change completed same morning. Been back many times, they seem honest and never got the hard sell. The only area for improvement is the communication between the booking system and the branch. Best to call the branch after you book to explain what you want.

I went to Mr Clutch because the mot price was so reasonable (£19) and the reviews were all excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I feel like they were genuinely trying to be helpful and I didn't get the impression at any point that they were trying to rip me off, which is what I was afraid of. I have a few advisories and they've given me a reasonable quote but I'll shop around first to see where I can get the best deal. Will definitely be back.

I have a problem with my ignition which was not a problem before I left my car at your garage. It doesn't start straight away, there is now a shortage somewhere! I left my car in your garage on Wednesday evening as it failed the MOT because of a worn out engine mount and a rod. I was told the car would be ready the next day. It wasn't because the garage couldn't get the part! Friday the part was there but there was a damaged seal and oil leak, so I okayed that but the part again was not there. On the Saturday I was told that there was something wrong with the start up sensor, I questioned this as I had not had any problem at all starting the car, it must be something that happened in your garage. My friend is in disbelief he said it's the only garage that he's hear of where the car comes back with problems that it didn't have before it went in! He had driven my car the day previous to it going into your garage. As I drive my car, with a dodgy ignition/start up an orange light on my dash board which I've never seen before! It feels like the gear stick is rubbing against something as I drive and the car keeps shuddering. I know the car is now old and expect things to wear out but I don't expect to feel that my car is now in a very bad state because of repairs made by your garage. If I take it back it will again take days for me to get it back. You don't offer courtesy cars and you will probably charge me a fortune for damage to my car that is a consequence of your garage. I chose your garage thinking that I could trust Mr Clutch to provide a good service now I'm sorry I ever went to your garage. It seems I would have been better off taking it to some back street garage.

I booked for an aircon recharge, the booking system was clear and effective. The car was ready at the promised time. And I got a discount on the regular cost. I'm satisfied.

Had my car fully serviced on 14/5/2016, i was called before lunch time to collect it,, which has not been the case in the past, it was always 4;45 just before closing. I believe this is due to a management change and i was very impressed with the manager the way he is with his customers. Would recommend Mr Clutch at Basingstoke to anyone.
