“Simply the best. Moist fruit cake that is full of flavour, with not one, but two layers of melt in the mouth marzipan. I made one last year using the Meg Rivers recipe, which came out perfectly, but always nice to have a little luxury delivered.”

“I had slight problem with my ordering on my lap top. more me I expect than web site. I rang and spoke to a very helpful person who placed my order and explained the pocess. My cake arrerived on the right day and looks delicious. It was extremely well packed and I am sure will be delicious. It is for a celebration on 1st June.”

“I would normally have given 5 stars but because you have not answered my emails concerning query over whether to request a cake tin or not was not met. I have repeatedly mentioned that I was charged for a cake tin when ordering simnel cake whci I did not want. It is not the money that bothers me it is the lack of communication. Sorry but that is how it is”

Hello Sheena. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We've only had one recent communication from you about scones which we replied to within 20 minutes. Occasionally we miss emails if they go into spam but using the Help button on the website or calling us (01608 682858) are still the best ways of getting in touch with any queries you might have.

“The cake was delivered to the wrong address 100 miles from the correct address which caused a lot of problems. The cake itself was very dry and totally crumbled when cut so we were not able to give slices to people. The system of it being plain so you could decorate it yourself is a great concept but no good if the actual cake is not stored properly so it dries out. Had high hopes but disappointed .”

Dear Iris, due to the location of your recipient in the Highlands of Scotland we were limited in our delivery options. Royal Mail is best solution and they can be speedy or slow so with a birthday cake take the initiative to send a day or two earlier with the belief that sooner is better than missing the big day. Hi Lesley As I believe my colleague explained the rose buds are a natural product and as such the colours vary. The tin was the smallest most suitable for this already gift wrapped cake. Kindest, Jess

“Lovely cake. Well packed and easy to assemble and tasted delicious. Really disappointed with the cake suppliers we met at wedding shows all seemed intent on selling the most expensive "artisan" cake when we just wanted something simple and your cake was perfect.”
