“This is a really great beginner's instrument. It's around he same price point of other beginner instruments but what I've researched, it's a higher quality. I've never played the concertina before but I am really happy with how the instrument plays and sounds. Also, the three free lessons from Caitlin are great and it is well worth signing up for her irishconcertinalessons.com website to learn. When I'm ready to upgrade, I'll be coming back to McNella.”

“I am a self-taught tin whistle player and was looking for a way to learn better technique and additional information. This course sounded like it was an appropriate way of doing just that. With that in mind, I purchased a 3 month trial but did not immediately redeem the 3 month certificate due to health problems. Finally, I started the course only to learn that my 3 month certificate had 'expired' even though no specific expiration date was listed. I contacted McNeela and they gave me a ONE month certificate and said that they would help me once that had expired with the next month and so on. That worked fine except that I was forced to insert a credit card to use it. I started the course and found it to be useful with some problems. After one month, the certificate expired, I was notified it was expiring and I again contacted McNeela who said, no problem just use the one month certificate again. Unfortunately, medical problems again ensued and, before I could get back to it, another two months had passed and I got a notice that my credit card had been charged for an additional month. Naturally -- since I'm still having difficulties getting to the course, I cancelled. As far as the course itself is concerned and as far as I got (admittedly not very far), it was good save that it seemed a bit disorganized and the sample songs were a good distance from the explanation of the song. Frankly, I was a bit disappointed with it but would have continued save that my 3 months were expired and I am still having some medical problems that prevent me from accessing it frequently -- which I feel would be necessary to take any advantage of the course. I am NOT really a musician, though, and I believe the course is more aimed at someone who is. I was originally going to rate it two stars but that is not fair as my problems were more with the administration than the course itself.”

“I was looking for a smaller drum with arm cutout for ease of playing due to a recent shoulder injury. I was concerned about tone buying off line. Your ad promised good tone. You did not disappoint! I am so happy with it. I have been playing for at least 12 years and bought my other two drums in person. I trust the quality from this maker!”
