“Cheapest quote of all the comparison sites with Bikesure, Unfortunately somehow they missed out the 'commuting' part & then wanted to charge me an extra £110 for it. Commuting is not essential for me but I like to have it as a 'just in case' so wasn't going to pay all that extra! They went from the cheapest quote to (almost) the most expensive! I was rather angry about it!”

“Hi, In using your system I received four quotes all different values (Mag, BMF, Bikesure and Honda). It appears that all are a front for Adrian Flux so I am mystified why four different quotes were forthcoming for identical data inputs. Perhaps you could enlighten me. Regards Cyril Clark”

“Hassle free. A variety of offers with different options, from different companies. Insurance secured with a different company, after being with Bennetts for years. They simply increased my premium without explanation or improved cover.”

“MCN compare does what all the comparison sites do. To be quite honest, there's no specific reason to use it other than familiarity with the brand. I didn't find that it performed better or worse than anything else. As with all comparison sites it's good for an initial indicator but to get a viable quote you need to phone different brokers, especially if you have a valuable bike, multiple bikes, other high risk factors, etc. it would be helpful for these sites to list out what makes them special (e.g. does MCN have a different panel of insurers than others? Is it better for subscribers? Better for older / newer riders?). With insurance prices as high as they are we can't just rely on comparison sites to find the best deal any more.”

“I have used this popular service several times in the past, however - I did once ring an insurance provider from the online quote and that figure was not that which the company came up with - far from it . . . So the next time I just did it online and the figure I paid was even LESS than that shown on the quote ! I am a little confused by how it all works LOL - but it did eventually work for me ps. an insuranced provider will probably ring you almost staraight away - I have never found them to be the cheapest !”
