“Not the cheapest but good .The only thing which was not right was all insurance ask if a pillon is going on bike why .helmet and jacket cover is extra which is a con, mileage why ,extra fees which is a con, All insurnace is part of the banks which are making biking harder,”

“Sorry but was a bit surprised that the question of modification s didn't arise during the mcn search or on the actual insurers purchase sites. I spent more time on the phone than I would have done in the '80's driving into town to buy from an actual person at a broker's.”

“Most of my friends, like me, have more than 1 motorbike, so to get a quote for 1 rarely counts. However, it is noted and normally taken up amongst other favoured companies for comparison. I've asked on other occasions, why not multibike options?”

“Many of the results were not comparable and seemed incorrect but it was good as general survey and to give ideas of which companies to contact for realistic quotes. It appears that this is not about MCN but that the Insurance industry is a lottery governed by algorithms that change hourly affecting prices and even refusal to insure fluctuating constantly. Its more like gambling with odds constantly changing”

“Site ok but quotes are for a very basic package by the time you add the extras eg legal cover no claims protection etc prices raise significantly”

“What a pain trying to insure a 125cc for a child turning 17. Trying to get quotes the week before policy was due to start was awful. The computer doesn't acknowledge the fact that you want the policy to start on the day he turns 17, and just says he can't have a 125 as he's not old enough.”

“I have never known a company that Harasses you for a V5 document with endless threatening emails to provide the V5 or the insurance will be cancelled, then provide a photo of a garage which is purpose built on the side of my bungalow, only to be told it’s a shed which it’s not, then get charged an extra £75 on top of the original quote,”

“I had to send info to them that I had never been asked for before, then they said I didn't then I did then I didn't. Also wanted a full address for a garage with no number in a courtyard. Just a bit fussier than I am used to. Will probably not use again, and weren't the cheapest, went to them because I thought run by MCN they would understand bikes and bikers, er no!”

“MCN Compare helped me to find insurance where my current insurer could not help because the bike was not listed. I was however distinctly unimpressed with the price i had to pay”
