“I ordered a Dimplex electric stove which on arrival looked as though it had been 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. I am still working on the area the stove will be situated, but I thought I should unpack it to check it works before setting it aside. While opening the box I found signs that the contents had been removed at least once before. Once unpacked, plugged in and switched on, something wasn't right. After closer inspection, the mirrored panel had come completely out of it's brackets. I thought to myself that someone has probably had this before me and if I send it back it will only get sent to someone else. I therefore spent about 30mins opening up the top and resetting the panel before testing it and securely closing it again. Rather a shame for a £160 purchase. Hopefully I won't experience any technical difficulties as a result next winter.”

“I’d been watching the Kenwood Chef XL in John Lewis for some time and trying to justify to myself spending £550 on it (even though it is clearly a fantastic bit of kit). Then overnight the price went up to £650 which was just too much ... so I looked online and found it on Lunney’s for £450. It was so much cheaper than anywhere else I was a little suspicious but decided to give it a go. I’m glad I did. It arrived safely a couple of days later and I am delighted. I’ve been using a Kenwood K-Mix for 5 years but wanted to be able to make bigger batches of biscuits and sourdough bread; this is a solid, well made machine with quality attachments. It has a 10 year guarantee on the motor. Love it!”
