Rating 4 out 5 Generally, really good guality product. Better than I inticipated. Only problem during build was that one of the doors bottom hinge point on the wood was split. But I repair that myself. The door could have been fitted with better hinges, with dead locks.

We bought the clock tower log cabin in February last year. We had not bought anything like this on the Internet or without seeing one in a show, ground and  was a bit concerned. After a few telephone calls and emails with Martin, I felt reassured to make a purchase but we  need not have worried. When the cabin arrived, the log cabin was exactly what we wanted. The whole process was first class, we were kept informed of the progress from  manufacture  to delivery. The delivery date and time was spot on. After a good read of the plans we started to errect the cabin. I have to say it went together very well, no bent or warped  wood all the joints were good and tight. The plans were spot on. The roof was a little tricky, as I had never fitted shingles before but a bit of research, this part also  went well with more shingles than needed. There was a couple of times I had to ring Martin about some  minor points which were more to reassure  me that I had understood the plans, Martin was only too happy to help and give me the advice I needed. He came across as being someone who didn't just want to make a sale and forget the customer once he had completed the sale. The fiinished product looked the business. We used a quality wood preserver and a quality paint to finish it It has now been up for just over a year. There has been no separation of planks, no seepage of rain and no damp. The only thing we have had to do was plane a little bit of the door as it had swollen slightly. A couple of minor points that i think should be mentioned. We ordered the Georgian style door and windows at an extra cost,. This was a waste of time it  was a cheap method of making the doors and windows to look Georgian,   in the end we didn't use them as they looked too false. And the other point is, for a  few pounds more, it could have come with window stays  as there was no way of holding the windows open and without them they would just flap in the wind. I bought some cheap ones from Screwfix that did the job. We have used it lot even though the winter. All in all I would recommend Garden  adventure and the product we bought was  in my view good  quality.  Thank you to Martin for offering a good product and service.

The cabin arrived late with bits missing, but Martin sorted this and came and helped with installation FOC. The cabin is now up and fully serviceable. It is important to remember that wood being a natural product moves with heat and moisture for some considerable time once assembled, especially important if you intend to attach anything to the walls. If I was installing another I'd consider treating the wood with preservative and waterproofing before assembly.

Martin is as many have pointed out, fantastically helpful and always happy to provide support which is fantastic. My only gripes lie with the product itself. The bearers were the wrong dimensions for the cabin I ordered which threw a spanner in the works when trying to work out spacing as the instructions didn't match what I received. (the instructions are not really instructions - just pictures with numbers). Had I built one of these cabins before then I would have perhaps spotted the issue earlier but if you are going to provide sparse instructions that reply on the accuracy of dimensions - then at least supply the parts in the right dimensions. I also encountered and issue where an internal door cut out had been cut on the wrong side of the wood plank - this small issue lead to having to having to pull down the entire cabin log by log (80% of it was up) and rebuild it. Very annoying especially when you are working alone and in the rain! Lastly the ironmongery that came with the windows and doors bared no resemblance to the window locks and handles I was shown on the demo cabin. This was a key aspect that I used to convince my wife to go with Garden Adventure as we live in London and security can be an issue. This is not Martins fault as I imagine the manufacturers changed this up without notifying the distributors however, the cabin is used as a home office so security is paramount but rinky dink window catches and sticky door handles supplied are only likely to cause any budding burglar to retreat in a fit of giggles. We honestly wouldn't have bought the cabin if we knew it came with these lightweight catches and there is no elegant way to upgrade them (as far as I can tell). Having said all that the cabin is a great investment and again, Martin is a stand up guy and I have recommended Garden Adventure to several friends and problems aside, the quality of the cabin is good on the whole. My advice is to check what you recieve carefully and ensure that what you receive is what you ordered as all the issues I have mentioned lie with the manufacturer.

Paul - thank you for taking the time to provide this in depth review highlighting both some bad points but also some good too. Unfortunately you were the recipient of a rogue cabin that had a number of issues from the factory, it somehow snuck through their usual quite rigourous quality control and thanks for being so patient with the build in order to overcome these flaws. I'm pleased the lasting effect and overall experience has now become a pleasant one and you are able to enjoy the building for its designed usage. (Hope the Beetle is still going strong?) Sincerely - Martin

perchased a cabin back in 2014 and has nothing but problems from day one ..twisted timber ,no sealant on the glazing so water ingress from ALL the Windows and doors.. warped doors ..complained and Martin did replace but arrived damaged so sent back . So the owner blamed the couriers and vice versa ..never got them replaced after a lot of conversation so gave up in the end .. now I have Rot in the bottom of the doors and cabin ,will have to replace with double glazed doors (if I can ) so avoid if I were you ..COMPLETE waste of time (and money)..oh and it's Mr Burford ..isle of wight.

Thank you for your feedback. As per our original agreement (and terms) we are only liable for goods to the point where they are delivered - in this case, the port on th south coarst where you arranged the onward delivery across the solent and to your address on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately there was an issue with some components and we agreed to send replacement parts and these were organised with the factory. These parts were delivered to the freight forwarders at the port and were signed for as received and in good order by this company. At this point the goods become your responsibility. At sometime between them arriving at the port and delivery to you, they were clearly subject to some heavy handling and were damaged. This was most unfortunate but was not the responsibility of Garden Adventure.

Product quality was good and finished product looked good. Delivery was on time and to kerbside but would have been better if effort had been made to offload down our lane as unloading three large pallets by hand very quickly to get off main road was difficult. We think some boxes of screws may have been missing but not sure as parts list not very clear so we had to buy more fixings. Window quality was good and handles of high quality but no window stays so windows just flop open which is a problem. All in all a good cabin but the few niggles meant the experience was a bit short of excellent.

Although initially unhappy with the delayed delivery, when the cabin did come, I found the driver to be very helpful and pleasant. The product was of a high quality and went together very well. I was very pleased with the end result, may thanks. Colin

Bought a log cabin recently, very happy with the finished article. The quality of the wood is excellent, it's top quality. Ordering and delivery was smooth, arrived boxed up and labelled for easy assemble. Only negative is more detailed instructions for putting the windows in. Overall very pleased with our cabin and already used it. would highly recommend this product as your normal sheds and cabins are wafer thin and poor quality, it was worth paying a little extra. Thankyou from the Shaws.

Good service easy to deal with and good product Tip its wise to get Martin to fit the cabin because if you are like me you wont want to part with your hard earned money until you see the goods on your drive if you fit the cabin garden adventures want the money up front. I was sceptical about this but no need martin is a decent bloke but if he fits you pay after like me

Excellent news ! - Thank you for taking time to provide valued feedback

The product quality is very good. However, customer service could be improved. We agreed a date for delivery, then changed it. I had three people here to help with delivery - 1 being paid and my partner taking time off work as well me. Unfortunately, the change was not communicated to the deliverers. So we had a wasted afternoon. At cost to me. A new date was set an we had two people available to help. This time the driver said he couldn't get in to the street because of width restrictions around the corner. I advised to come in from the other end. A debate ensued about whether he could go through a bus lane gate. Eventually he arrived. He then reported back to the office that there was no-one to take delivery even though he had actually been speaking to the person I was paying to be there! Until I called the office and made it clear I was extremely unhappy with the way I was being treated and that I couldn't be expected to let the delivery go when it had been contracted to be there, nothing was being done. Finally I helped unload along with the person I had asked to help me . The driver said it would take four hours. It took less than two. I am a 5 ft 2 inch tall 62 year old. He couldn't believe I was willing and more importantly able to carry some of the load. No apology in any form was received. It was doubly disappointing that customer service was so poor as my initial contact with the office when ordering had been very positive. I was also astonished that the driver would not take any of the packaging away. I think it is important for future customers to know that they will be expected to dispose of pallets and mountains of cardboard and wrapping as I had not been given that information when I ordered. These goods are quite expensive. It should surely be right that the customer is treated with courtesy and support rather than a 'fend for yourself'attitude.

So sorry there was an issue with the delivery. I will speak with the haulier concerned to find out what went wrong on this occasion.

I have now heard back from the hauliers regarding your issues - here is what Holly had to say : "The delivery date was changed in the office but not communicated properly so I can only apologise for this and it will not happen again. I have asked my colleagues to make sure they inform me immediately of any changes which are made to the deliveries so I can then communicate this. I have also spoken to the driver, he did have difficulty gaining access and did drive through a road which he shouldn’t have (due to width restrictions) to gain access. At the time we spoke to Mrs Prentice but she was not able to offer any advice on the best way in, so the driver risked it to make sure the delivery was made. There was miss communication at the delivery point when he arrived over whom would be handballing, which I spoke to Mrs Prentice myself and apologised for the confusion, when the driver was there, and the explained to the driver that they would be handballing. " I hope this goes someway to explaining the whys and wherefores - again apologies for the inconvenience you experienced but do hope the end result makes up for this.

Should have kept the floor and roof boards dry before installing - they swelled and made the joints very tight. Otherwise a well thought out design.

delivery took 10 days which was the maximum stated on your website. We ordered a blue slide but were sent a green slide. we decided to just keep the green slide to avoid any further delays.

We love the product but felt that is should be much clearer that this is not a DIY job, it is very complex to put together. We did not have enough rungs for the ladder and it took a while to get sorted, BUT, the way you managed the problem was excellent and I know you did everything you could do in the right way, it was just the manufacturer faffing around. We got them in the end and it's a brilliant item Thank you and we would use you again
