Although Martin did replay to our messages quite promptly, the cabin took 8 months to deliver.

The communication process was not as expected. Paid an additional charge for base & cabin erection which was poor and can see daylight through roof and floor joins. Had to spend additional money & own time in an attempt to make good.

Hi Joanne So sorry to hear of the issues experienced, this is the first time I have been made aware of any problems encountered with the cabin. I wish you had made contact and I could have got the installation team back to make good any snags that were apparent.

The cabin wood was badly finished, including wood strips with joins in that we're weak, the door furniture did not line up, the windows were scratched and covered in mastic, the wood was not properly dried so has shrunk in the sunshine and there is sap leaking from knots, some wood was twisted, the flooring was brittle, the sizing had to be adjusted and the labels damaged the wood. All in all I would not advise people to use this product. A qualified carpenter has viewed the cabin and agrees me that it is poor quality not a poor diyer

Jacqui - thank you for taking the time to send us some feedback and sorry to hear you were not totally satisfied with our product. Wood is a natural product and will move according to its moisture content. Although the wall logs are machined totally straight, some twisting can occur between manufacture and build, however this is easily rectified using the long screws that are supplied. This will hold the wall logs in line under such circumstance. I am interested to know what you mean by "the flooring was brittle" - I'm not quite sure how 19mm tongue and groove boards can become brittle ? Which components had to have their "sizing adjusted" please ? With regard to the door furniture not lining up - it is imperative the door frame side jambs are vertical and the sill perfectly horizontal, if not, you will notice the doors do not line up along the top edge indicating there is a discrepancy in the frame alignment. I wish you had contacted me in March to discuss these issues rather than wait for a request for feedback. Perhaps we could have implemented a recovery plan to resolve the situation. The men who put up the building left rubbish behind in both back garden and front including huge pallets and all wrapping and delivery waste. Although bagged up I was still left with task of disposing of it. Phoned manager to complain of a dent and a door lock not working and also of the rubbish and they have never offered any goodwill or help or even called me back.

Thank you for your feedback. As with most goods deliveries these days, packaging stays with the receiving customer. Admittedly, in this case, there is rather a lot, however, the cardboard element folds down into a manageable size and all the plastic covering will compress into a single bin bag. The wooden pallet can either be sawn into smaller sections for disposal but often can be taken by a neighbour for kindling or such like which, according to the installation team happened on this occasion (I was led to believe ?) Yes, we did receive a call from you regarding these issues and it was left that you would provide a few pictures of the dent and door lock type so that we could make arrangements to replace, but as yet, have had nothing from you. Is the lock still a problem ? Please send us a picture (so that we can ensure the replacement is of the correct type) and a replacement will be sourced. Apologies for not meeting your aspirations, I do hope we can find a suitable way of regaining your confidence in Garden Adventure. Rgds Martin Corby Managing Director
