“Was disappointed that apparently no checks were made on listed tradesmen's qualifications by yourselves. I have no idea what to look for so the names given were fairly useless.”

“Only had two people contact me. They came, talked about what I wanted, they left telling me they would e-mail me with there price for the job. I have not heard anything from either of them”

“Was simply looking for an idea on costs of a Home Buyers report for future reference. Didn't expect my details to be shared so openly with your clients. Am inundated daily with sales calls & e-mails from multiple surveyors chasing. Far too many calls.”

We are sorry to hear that you received too many calls. We limit the number of Suppliers listed in any area to 8, to ensure that you get a good selection to choose from - but hopefully not too many to overwhelm you.

“I was looking for a surveyor to produce an asbestos report. Details of 5 surveyors came up, with price estimates from £200 to £240 including VAT, which seemed reasonable. However, when individual email responses were received form survey companies, the prices ranged from £265 to £350, without even knowing any details fo the property! I'm afraid this put me off proceeding any further.”

“Despite several emails and promises I never received the report in the said time factor 10 working days. A costly sum was charged up front, long delay on receiving the report with no compensation given the fact that I was out of pocket financially for the delay on their behalf”

“After chasing the valuer I still haven't received my homebuyers report. It is overdue on the timescales given when payment was made. Was advised 1 week ago my report was on top of the list of things to do. Will be looking to pay for another report as not sure if/when this one will be with me.”

“I was not aware until it was too late, that you would forward my details to the surveyors you list . Needs to be clearer. Your list included a surveyor who I feel obliged to use, as he is a neighbour.”

“It was very annoying that the search automatically contacted all of the surveyors on the list returned to me. The list was very useful and I quickly called and retained a surveyor but then spent 2 days being spammed on phone and email by the long list of surveyors returned in my search. Very annoying!”

“In my request I clearly asked for surveyors who could carry out a structural survey of a property, associated with removing internal stud walls. Of the companies who responded with a price estimate, non could carry out a structural survey but all mistakenly quoted for a survey for property purchase. The outcome of the request was therefore not satisfactory at all”

“I was disappointed that none of the companies were what I would call local to me. The nearest was about 20 miles away and another as far as 70 miles. I expected to be sent companies from my own local town as since doing a google search on surveyors in my local town I have found about 5 surveyors only about 2 miles from me. So your website is misnamed. I filled in the form giving details of what I wanted and only one has given an individual response the rest are standard responses regarding surveying a house prior to purchase which is not what I asked for. The only positive was that most did respond within about 24 hours.”
