Leon from Clee, Tomkinson & Francis was excellent, friendly and professional. The report identified some major issues that led us to withdrawing are offer. Without the SmartrSurvey we could have been stuck with considerable remedial costs.

The homebuyers survey, was good however, i did find it a bit vague in some of the findings, this was later sorted by a Email to the surveyor who then answered some of my questions on the findings. Would definitely recommend it at least now i know what i am waking in to

I was able to find a surveyor who gave me a good prompt service with a level 2 housebuyers report and valuation for a reasonable price. The survey was carried out within a fortnight and the report produced within 5 working days, even including an early draft in advance. Of the valuation.

I hired a building surveyor - Bruce Gray who owns Grays Building Consultants (Tunbridge Wells) to provide a comprehensive building survey on a three bedroom flat I was purchasing in a 1890's Georgian mansion. In my experience the building survey grossly underestimated the extent of dampness and mould in the flat and the remedial actions needed to fix the problem - as two of the three bedrooms are unliveable. It is costing around £10,000 to treat and extract the mould and make the flat habitable. In my personal opinion this constitutes professional negligence on the surveyor's part. I formally complained to Grays Building Consultants and Bruce Gray carried out a formal investigation and found no wrongdoing by himself/his company! I am now pursuing my complaint with RICS.
