“Grwat speed on replies and also emails to follow for ones that didnt instantly respond, looks like a legit service and good range of local and professional responses. Havent actually needed to use one yet as the housing market is a bit competitive but would have definitly spoken to all if i had to use one, thanks for the great service, might need your services again soon 👍”

“I had a number of Surveyors get in touch, almost immediately which I was very grateful for. I am still undecided yet because I had a bad experience with a RICS surveyor most recently who I chose of the RICS website ( the reason I am looking for another surveyor )”

“The comparison basically comes up with 2 types of surveyor. Type 1. Cheap quotes from national companies who have a list of surveyors around the country, if you buy one of these you will not know the name (or experience or proof of local knowledge or personal reviews) of the actual surveyor so you are in the hands of the company chosen. Type 2. Pay more and choose a reputable local firm with named surveyors who you can assess for suitability. There are other surveyors that the site doesn't list so this site is a good starting point but to look at other options might be a good idea too. Both of the two types yielded competitive prices, naturally Type 2 cost more than Type 1. But it is a small difference in terms of the overall costs of buying a property.”

“You gave me only two quotes. One said price is £TBC, and this company (white horses) now messages me every few days with an automated text message repeating the £TBC quote. The second quote doesn’t actually operate in the area I am interested in”

“Disappointed with our surveyor. All above board and thought everything was fine until we finally moved into our new home. The ‘A star rated’ patio doors which are ‘brand new’ (quoted from the report) were siliconed shut. They are not able to be opened. Likewise we’re a few of the PVC windows. Lots of things were rated as green that are actually broken/need repair. Disappointing that you spend £500 ish for a surveyor that can’t be bothered to do their job.”

“I needed a building survey. Was unsure who was out there so tried this reputable site. I would recommend to anyone unfamiliar with a local surveyor and the survey process.”

“Sad that in every case the offer price was not matched in reality. And that some of the surveyors continue to bombard you with emails even after a polite no thank you. The site is a good idea but to work well for the customer it needs a database of professional surveyors rather than grasping salespeople.”

“The website was a great find and my enquiry resulted in contact being made by a number of surveyors (very quickly). I was able to compare quotes, look at reviews, narrow down the list and choose a surveyor - all within 48 hours. I'm really happy with the company we chose but the downside is that other companies continued to re-send quotes by text and email for a couple of weeks afterwards. I guess that's business!”
