“The strip light says 284mm on the box but is in fact 279mm. I phoned to report this and left a message asking for a return call but no response. Received an email today to rate the service and phoned again to be met with an answering machine. Please get in touch with me to rectify this.”
“Arrived in good time, before time actually. As advertised, I think an updated version of my old one so I just hung it onto the same screws in the wall. All good. I'm keeping it on the low heat setting as the bathroom is quite small. Cheers! And it's best to take time wiring it up, don't rush.”

“I purchased the Dimplex OFX100E 1,000 Watt portable panel radiator (with Timer and Thermostat) recently. After one month, it's working well. It's slightly larger than I expected, and slightly more powerful than my old Dimplex 750 watt version, but the old model had given good service for about 35 years! Excellent service from Light Shop Direct: the item arrived quickly, and on the promised date (but via FedEx, not Royal Mail). It was very well packed for delivery, and it arrived undamaged. My only (small) point is that - in common with the old one! - the 3-foot long electric flex provided by Dimplex is much too short, it needs at least a 6 foot cable. So buy an extension lead too.”
“I needed 2 fluorescent tube bulbs for my worktop lights. I couldn't find any from high street shops. Looking around the web, Light Shop's prices were much more sensible than charged by some of the other online bulb shops. The tubes were delivered within 2-3 working days and were very safely packaged. They fitted perfectly, which means the decriptions on the site were accurate. “Avoid like the plague.
If you'd like to deal with a company that takes your money, promises a delivery date that they can't keep, uses a courier that they have no control over, and to top it all continually ignore your messages, then this is exactly the company for you!
Placed my order the Thursday before Good Friday and was pleasantly surprised to get a delivery date for the Saturday, but Amazon do it and I was paying nearly £10 for "Priority Express" express delivery, should have known better - their systems obviously don’t take bank holidays into account. On Tuesday received an email to say will be delivered on Wednesday, not brilliant, but fair enough. But then they tell me that the "business was closed" so couldn't deliver, then it had the "wrong address", after that it was just excuse after excuse with no response to my messages. One thing they are good at is ignoring you. My delivery still hasn't been made, 12 days after placing the order.
So I have no option but to leave this review and start a chargeback for a refund.
Please don't blame the delivery company, you chose them, therefore it's your responsibility.
Please don't blame your customers, the correct address has been provided.
Such a shame that all of this could have been avoided if you would just reply to your customer's messages rather than ignoring them.”
“I ordered four bulbs, I received four bulbs but one of a them was a differnet colour temperature. I raised the issue which they took on board straight away and shipped me a replacement bulb. Unfortunately, the bulb shipped is of a completely different specification and size i.e. worse than the original shipment).”

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We did contact you shortly after dispatch to assist, and according to FedEx tracking, delivery was attempted on three separate occasions. The parcel was then successfully collected on the 27th.
As the delivery was attempted multiple times and ultimately collected, we’re unfortunately unable to refund delivery charges in this instance.
For future orders, we’d recommend ensuring a complete and accurate delivery address, or selecting a safe place or collection option where possible to avoid delays.
