“Started off great loved the dainty size however after a few days the gem started disappearing into my tragus pierced skin. Woke up to it covered & had to pull jewellery out from back. Tried on thinner part of my ear but started to swell also. Pity as loved the jewellery.”

It might be that the post needs some room for swelling if the piercing is irritated from changing jewellery. “I have not received my package and I can't track it because DHL Express don't received it yet. All I want to know is where my package is. I have send two emails to help.laura. I have not received a reply. However I did get a email that my package was shipped on January 3rd.”

“Beautiful earing but omg it is so small. It was disappointing as my daughter bought it for my 60th birthday and I haven't even tried to put it in my ear as I know it won't fit its so tiny. Sorry as I had very high expectations.”

Everybody's ear anatomy is different therefore could look different from the pictures we provide online. We include pictures of all of our earrings in models ears so that our customers can see what the jewellery looks like when fitted, however everybody's anatomy is different which why we include all measurements in our product descriptions. Sometimes our studs can look small in the jewellery box that they arrive in, but when fitted in the ear our customers usually find that they are the perfect size. Hi Andrew Sorry you were disappointed in the size of your jewellery purchase. All of our jewellery is solid 9k or 14k gold, this includes the labret post and backing of our pieces. We do include exact measurements on all of our product descriptions, and have photographs with our jewellery on real ears to give an accurate representation of the size. “Bought the rook hoop earring. The best thing about it is the fact it’s hypoallergenic (being real gold) and the shape (an oval) is perfect for the rook and allows it to be properly shown off and comfortable. However, the precious stones are so dull! I was really hoping this would be a perfect sparkle in my ear but it’s actually so dull and looks just like tarnished silver from a distance. So disappointed (especially with that price!). This earring should either be plain gold, or the stones should be much larger so they can actually catch the light properly. Really disappointed, I had such high hopes for such a perfect rook shape earring and such a high price.”

With that particular oval rook hoop, it is a dainty piece of jewellery and in turn the crystals are quite small to keep it fine looking. We do offer small hoops with larger crystals that do catch the light easier and can be installed in a rook piercing. “I looked carefully at the pictures but was still shocked at how small the pieces are . The bigger of the ones I ordered is ok,, but the small one is so so tiny I can hardly see it. Won’t be using it - what a waste. Perhaps Laura Bond could consider different packaging, so customers can see the item without using and have the option of returning? Must say I am very disappointed and feel somewhat conned !!”

We wanted to create a body jewellery brand that is more feminine than the traditional bulky body jewellery that is readily available today. So we design pretty, dainty pieces designed to stack. Sometimes our tiny studs can look very small in the jewellery box, but once fitted in an ear our customers usually think it is the perfect size. The images on our website are to show what our earrings look like in an ear. “Disappointing for the price. I bought two clicker hoops, one was fine but the other one was loose when it clicked together and subsequently fell out multiple times. I contacted customer services to return for a replacement, but they fobbed me off so I wouldn't buy from them again. Waste of money.”

Hi Rachel, Thank you for leaving a review with us. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your purchase from us. After you sent us the video of your clicker hoop, I can see that we replied with some easy tips on how to align your clicker hoop from home to help get it closing securely again. Because solid gold is a soft metal, it’s possible to bend/misalign jewellery slightly when fitting or handling. Thankfully this also means that your hoop should be easy to realign to make sure there is enough tension in it for a secure close. If you were finding that the hoop still wasn't closing securely after these tips, we explained that we would of course take it back in and realign it for you free of charge or replace if necessary. One of the USPs of our brand is that our jewellery is designed to be particularly dainty and feminine - this is because our founder Laura struggled this kind of solid gold jewellery before setting up the business. So that our customers are aware of the sizing of our jewellery, we detail the dimensions of all of our jewellery on each product page as well as on a model so customers can see the pieces being worn. We also show a close up image of the jewellery on each product page so our customers can see the details of each piece. “Massively disappointed in the item that I bought , you need a magnifying glass to see it. God forbid if you dropped it ,it would be hard to find. What's the point of buying an earring you cannot see tge design or shape, so so disappointed.”

“The earring itself is absolutely beautiful, I'm obsessed with it, however, the part that should go through my ear is too thick, so it won't fit in my rook piercing.”

Hi there, Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear that your earring is too thick to fit through your rook piercing. All of the jewellery we suggest for rook piercings on our website have a max post thickness of 16g (1.2mm). This post thickness is the standard size that piercers will use when initially piercing your rook. If you have been wearing a thinner post or huggie style in your rook piercing over a long period, this will mean that your piercing has slightly shrunk which may be why you are finding it hard to fit your new earring. Not to worry - a reputable piercer will be able to help you size up your piercing and fit your new jewellery so long as it is suitable for your anatomy and piercing placement. It may be worth phoning your local piercers to see if this is a service they can help you with. All our earrings are designed for multiple piercings and are designed to be very dainty - so that you can wear lots together up your ears. As a young, small business we aren't currently able to offer a variety of lengths in each design so we make all our studs in a 6mm post which is the most universal size. However, we are very excited to be bringing out 8mm lengths in our core collections later this year. We are unable to accept a return of earrings for hygiene reasons, we understand that this is disappointing and are sorry to read your two star review, however this policy is in place for the protection of all our customers. “Flimsy, the hoop kept opening whilst in my ear, which in turn, irritated my healed piercing. Emailed customer service and received a patronising response about how soft gold is and that may be the reason. I’m aware of that, there was an issue with the hoop. When you pay over £100 for a single hoop, you would hope the clasp would remain closed. And yes, it was in a suitable piercing.”
