“I have been to Anne Veck saloon twice. One for my 15 years daughter who has very curly and lots of hair, and another for myself to sort out a previous mediocre cut (I have afro hair). Kelly did an excellent job on both of us and we left very happy. She consulted thoroughly to make sure she understood what we wanted. She was also honest and suggested my daughter didn't need an extra service we had booked, which we really appreciated. I'll definitely recommend her! In addition all staff looked friendly and polite.”

“Anne has been my hairdresser for many years. I have African hair. I am confident with Anne keeping it looking it's best. She knows exactly what to do and always makes the right suggestions for colour, cutting and styling. She goes the extra mile to do whatever is necessary for the perfect look, for example blow drying it straight for the right cut. My daughter got married recently. Anne made sure as the mother of the bride I was on point. She also did my daughter the bride's hair which was beautifully styled for her big day and helped my younger daughter who was a bridesmaid with braiding. Ensuring we all looked fantastic for the special day.”

“I've heen coming to Anne Veck for a few years and Sylvain has cut/coloured my hair the last few visits. No complaints at all. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and Sylvain works with you to make sure you are happy with your hair.”

“Kelly was absolutely amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. But I found the receptionist incredibly rude. My appt. was originally at 4, but I got a call asking if I could come in at 3:45 (which was totally fine by me). I got there at 3:50, and then I was told to sit down and wait for my appt. I waited for about 25 min. before someone came to wash my hair. While I was waiting, the receptionist made me extremely uncomfortable by staring at me in the mirror; she didn't come over to apologize for the wait, but she did scold me for canceling and rebooking my appt. She also walked over to Kelly at one moment and pointed at me while talking to her, which made me feel very awkward. I almost walked out. Overall, I loved Kelly and I love my new haircut, but I would not go back because of how uncomfortable I felt.”

About the paper towels....these are Easydry biodegradable and compostable towels which are better for the environment than cotton towels and each one is also unique to you our client, so more hygenic too. However thanks for telling us about what you think of them! I suspect you were unlucky and whoever used them with you did not use them correctly. “Anne cuts my hair beautifully. My husband told me to find a French hairdresser since I have short hair and he thinks the French cut short hair the best - and I haven't looked back. It's also an admirable eco-salon and feels a very safe place to be.”

“Anne Veck Oxford is always friendly and provides excellent customer service. I have been going there for an Avlon texture release treatment for a while now. I am so pleased with the improvement in the condition of my hair. Before I started going to Anne Veck I used to chemically straighten my natural Afro Caribbean hair and it was in bad condition. However, since Anne has been looking after it, the breakage has stopped, it is healthier than it has ever been and it is growing.”

“I had another great colour appointment with Sylvain recently! Sylvain has been gradually removing about 7 years of black henna + 1 year of home done black box dye from my hair over the past year. The henna has stained the ends of my hair green and the old dye left the top brassy, so it was a lot to work with! (progress photos attached). He managed to lighten several shades this time thanks to the work he's done to ensure the condition of my hair is good and the old dye has been removed carefully. Honestly cannot recommend enough, I know my hair was an absolute mess at the start but somehow he's worked with is AND left in better condition than ever before!!”
