“I had a very good cut with Nicola on Monday. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions. Even though it was simply a trim, the cut was carried out with attention to detail. I will certainly be a repeat customer. My only issue is that the salon has stopped their student discount -- this makes sense given the circumstances, but it would have been nice to know in advance, and it is still indicated as active on the website.”

“Sylvain cut my hair yesterday for the first time and he is AMAZING. He listened to what I asked for and gave excellent advice on what would suit my hair type. I went from a boring bob to a trendy short cut and I could not be more delighted.”

“What a joy to have another haircut after so many months of it growing wherever it chose to! Merci Sylvain avec vos mains magiques! I was very impressed with the care taken by the staff to create a save environment. I don't envy you wearing those full face masks. Can't imagine they're at all comfortable to wear all day but thank you for doing what you're doing with a smile on your face. You've seemingly become key workers and I look forward to coming back much sooner for my next trim!”

“I had an appointment with Marissa at the Oxford Salon yesterday. I'm always impressed with the quality when visiting but yesterday was my best experience yet. Marissa provided a flawless blonde balayage as well as general tidy up and cut. I'm always concerned about whether or not the colour will blend well but it's absolutely seamless and looks beautifully natural. It was a long time to wear a mask but the team are incredibly professional and everything is clearly sanitised regularly with social distancing in place. Can't wait to come back again! “The Anne Veck salon in Oxford has been my favourite salon for more than 5 years now and I was never disappointed. I am quite fussy with my hair and have high expectations, they were fulfilled every time. Being it Emmanuel, Cassie or Alistair, who have since left for new adventures, or Marissa, Nicola or most recently Silvain, it is always a pleasure to get my hair done there and I can only recommend them to everybody. Such a nice atmosphere and I love the continental feel and vibe!”

“I have been coming to Anne Veck for almost 6 years and cannot fault the service! The salon is clean, modern and beautiful, and the staff are lovely. Sylvain is kind and full of energy - despite being relatively new to the salon he fits in the team perfectly. He listens to exactly what you want and makes you feel gorgeous!”

“I recently had my haircut after four months. I was initially a little worried about the new process with masks etc...but all the staff were very attentive as ever.I felt very relaxed.Loved the head massage&the massage chair while having my hair washed.I even had a blow dry which I wasn't sure was going to be allowed with all the new rules.Really like my new haircut.Looking forward to going back.Highly recommend going.😊”

“The only place I trust with my hair! They really listen to what you want but also work with the natural properties of your hair to make sure it 'works'. Everyone is very friendly and I have always received very useful advice or learned something new each visit. Anne did my hair for our wedding a couple of years ago and it was perfect. Thank you.”

“I have visited Anne Veck since moving to Oxford more than two years ago, and generally have been happy with the service, but my latest visit - my first hair cut post-lockdown - was a huge disappointment and I felt the quality of the cut was very poor. It was only on getting home and looking in the mirror properly that I realised my hair - cut above the shoulders - was longer on one side than the other. The cut was incredibly poor, unprofessional and looked like no care had been taken. I received quite a poor response from the front desk when I called up to ask if I could return to the salon to have the cut fixed. I received no apology and was told they 'might' be able to fit me in. I was eventually offered a 15 minute slot the next day, which I attended. Marisa was lovely, and sorted out the cut as best she could. I think it is rather telling that I sat there for 20 minutes while she tried her best to sort out the length, blend the layers in properly (which were awful), and also fix the shape which she informed me was also different on each side. Not being able to see the back of my head I hadn't realised how bad the shaping was until it was pointed out. Ultimately I've waited four months for a much-needed hair cut and now I'm left embarrassed by it, wearing it up in a bobble and wearing hats until it grows out enough. I'm due to get married in October so I only hope it grows out enough by then. Thank you to Marisa for being so accommodating and sorting it out as best she can, it does look and feel better than the original cut, but I'm just really disappointed with my experience. I have given two stars rather than one as my past experiences have been better. Kind regards, Louise Hill”

“What a joy to be back at Anne Veck and great to see familiar faces. I was given a warm welcome and was impressed by all the hygiene and social distancing measures in place. And none of this stopped me from enjoying the usual great experience of getting my hair cut and styled by the lovely Kelly, who’s taken the time to get to know me, my hair, and my likes and dislikes. I’ve received lots of compliments on my hairdo, just as I always did, and it’s lifted my spirits no end. I highly recommend Anne Veck.”

“I had such a lovely experience at Anne Veck salon. Nicola did a wonderful job. She gave me a shoulder length variation on the shag hairstyle, with gorgeous long layers. She also used lovely scented products like the nono shampoo. I'm so happy with my cut. Thank you!”
