“Had another brilliant haircut from Sylvain. He has been the best cutter I have ever had - no question. He really listens, and works out a cut that does exactly what you ask while adapting it a little so that it really suits your face and head shape. The cut has lasted really well too.”

“Kelly cut my hair beautifully on a recent visit. She restored the previous style but left me with more of what I really wanted. She also talked me through styling it as I dry it so that I can now create the look she created before I left the shop. Thanks, Kelly.”

“My first visit and I am thrilled. Clare gave me a super thorough consultation and I am so happy with a great cut and fantastic colour. Salon was very attractive and everyone friendly and welcoming. Loved the massage chair and wash experience - much more comfortable than the usual basin chairs My only quibble - could the salon offer coffee? Clare very kindly went next door and bought me one Already looking forward to my next visit”

“As a man with long hair, trying to find someone who understands a male long cut seem to be few and far between. I've been coming to Anne Veck for a number of years but Sylvain has just given me the best cut/style I've had in a long time.”

“A great visit and cut! Kelly is helping me to transition to my natural white/silver with great professionalism and humour. She knows my hair do well and I always come away with a great cut and style. Everyone at the salon is friendly so each visit is a treat. Highly recommended.”

“I had Claire wash and cut my hair. It turns out I had booked the wrong service (I had booked blow-dry instead of cut and dry). Claire was very kind and accommodating when I explained I just wanted a trim and some layers and then diffused at the end. She said that she would be able to do this for me in the time we had and she explained in future that I didn't need to book a dry, just a cut next time. She washed, cut and diffused my hair all in half an hour, gave useful advice regarding diffusers and said that I can pop in to get my undercut shaved for free pretty much whenever. Overall great experience with Claire.”

“Warm welcome, LOVE the massage chair for the shampoo. Hairstylist Sylvain the French, understood what I wanted, made great suggestions too, did exactly what I asked for, absolutely charming and professional throughout the whole service, did a fantastic head massage with the shampoo. First class experience, thank you Sylvain and the Anne Veck team!”

“I visited Anne Veck about a month ago to get a much needed trim. I explained what I wanted to Silvain, who was my hairdresser, and he did not listen to any of it. I had asked for a small trim but mainly to have layers cut shorter to give more volume to my hair. I have wavy/curly hair. He cut way more than I had asked for. He also thinned out my hair so much that there were tons of hair on the floor once he finished - something I had not asked for. I do not like having my hair thinned. He also used a razor to cut some of my hair, which doesn't work with my hair type because it frizzes it but he didn't bother to ask. Lastly, my hair is EXTREMELY uneven. On one side, the layers are longer and even (this side looks really good), while on the other they are shorter and so uneven (this one does not). I have random pieces that are very short and some long. Overall, I'm very unhappy with my haircut. I think that there are small things he could have done to give me a great haircut like being more careful with evenness, asking what I would prefer, and respecting what I asked for. I was about 5 minutes late to my appointment and maybe this impacted my experience at Anne Veck but I think that the time slots given are way too short to give a proper haircut anyway.”

“I’d just moved to the area from far afield and was feeling anxious about getting my hair cut. I booked an appointment with Sylvian, who was fantastic. Sylvain quickly realised I was feeling anxious and made me feel at ease. He was very attentive to my anxieties about having my hair washed and gave me a very skilled cut. By the end of my appointment, I had a new a confidence about my hair that I’d not had for some time. Thank you, Sylvain. See you again soon!”
