A well designed website for signing on . The one I tried before had an incredibly large number of irrelevant questions to answer & then the submit button didn't work !! All looks good but the test of any insurance company has to be when you make a claim - my current car insurers were absolutely excellent when some one ran into the back of me !

Review is based on experience in taking out new insurance plan not on claim process. Great customer service, quick to answer calls and answer questions, no pushiness. Provided all info I needed to make decision

Maybe naively and seeing all the positive reviews I opted to take out home insurance with this company. I then realised that they are the broker, it's therefore my interpretation that their job is done once you sign up. You are then left with an insurance underwriter (The one that will actually deal and pay any potential claim) that are likely to have much less positive reviews. Once I realised this five mins after signing up and reading policy document they want £50 to cancel the policy, no cooling off, nothing. THis is something to be VERY aware of. Following an initially negative review on here based on the above (now also edited) I received a call from customer services who spent some time understanding where my issues laid. The gentleman who called was most reasonable, understanding and took onboard my concern which he tried to allay, summarizing that indeed that would where necessary (and I assume where they feel reasonable) will not leave you high and dry but will support you in resolving future matters with the underwriters. I have therefore amended my review, though time will tell and I hope not to need to call on this support.

I recently arranged my home insurance policy with Intelligent Insurance after obtaining a quote via a comparison site. I am very happy with the customer service I have received so far.

Great help and quick answers when considering their quote and policy. Decided to accept the quote and today is day 1. Saved me versus my renewal quote, so here's hoping the service continues well.

Further to my rant below regarding having trouble waiting for monies to replace my daughters bike, Chris Wade, from Intelligent Insurance, got on the case straight away. I am delighted to say that the third party company have finally paid the monies due today. I wasn’t sure where to post initially but would like to make it clear that Intelligent Insurance themselves were excellent at sorting this out and I am confident that the underwriters, also a good firm (Pen), will take a look at the claims company involved. So all in all, the final result was good thank you!

Very disappointed that when I advised the policy was no longer required do to the sale of the property you charged me £75. This is more than the remaining installments had I left the policy running. Was told I could not leave it running and that the policy would now be cancelled and that I would be chased for the further £75 fee. Beware if you need to cancel you policy mid way through. Cheap for a reason.

Easy to renew. Original price was a bit high, but an alternative supplier was suggested at a cheaper price (for increased excess). Far service in the end.

I bought a policy via intelligent insurance and recently had to make a claim as my daughters bicycle was stolen from our garden, since the claim was approved as a ‘cash settlement’ and definitely ‘on it way to me via my bank’ I purchased a replacement bike for my daughter... I am 2 weeks down the line and Pen Underwriting or direct group (gets very confusing who to chase) have said, bank problems, don’t worry we are sending a faster payment to everyone (last Friday- No payment still).... it doesn’t matter what staff are like, it’s about the service you get when a legitimate claim is put in. I am still £300 down, will I ever see this money????? Intelligent Insurance at least spoke to me but I was directed to claims..

Very good customer service. The representative took the time to go through the various exclusions and legal sections so I understood exactly what I was getting. No shortcuts but still efficient. Good follow-up too as I asked for a future call-back and they followed through.
