Very informative course with lots of good revision and learning points. My one criticism is that it would be good to have electronic handouts at the end of each module. Simply as a revision tool. Enjoyed the course. Same day response after submitting my end of course project. I believe it was good value for money! Thanks.

I found it very good to follow and very informative. Questions were good and the tests were all related to the information given. Gives a good understanding of what is required for Safety In Construction.

I have always been sceptical about on line learning as not having a tutor to bounce questions too and from has always been a concern to me. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. It is also important to me to have external accreditation too. With the IOSH certification in place and the delivery through HSQE, this has improved the outcomes no end. Having my own training company, this separation of training provider and awarding organisation is important with our own AO's too as well as credibility in my full time role. Thank you Mike.

Great feedback, many thanks for providing that Mike. We do have a team of tutors available if needed, but quite often we find the materials are quite self-explanatory so often our students don't actually need the tutors assistance.

Once I had sorted an initial IT problem in accessing the online course, I was very pleased with the structure of the course and ease of completing the assessment. Would recommend this course to senior management wishing to have an introduction to H&S responsibilities.

The course was informative and upto date in terms of pictures/scenarios. Also when looking at my dashboard for my course, the exam popped up earlier than expected. I didn’t realise that I had to complete all the other modules before completing the exam, therefore I did the exam earlier thinking it would be focused on modules from (1-4). However, the exam was based on all the modules and not just 1-4, it’s not such a big deal as I passed it anyway. But if there was a reminder popping up to complete the other modules before completing the exam, that would be useful. Also some of the buttons to click to the next section were jammed and did not move when prompted, this only happened in the last 2 modules which were Manual Handling Awareness and Working at Height Awareness. I have attached a screen grab of what I was seeing in my dashboard and when the exam was prompted.

Many thanks for your feedback, it's very helpful. When a presentation does not move on to the next slide its due to there being a break in the internet connection. This is especially try if there is a poor connection or if you're using a smart phone (or mobile device) to do the course. Just to be 100% sure though, we've organised for a diagnostic check to be run on those courses to make sure a bug has not appeared somewhere.

Course was very comprehensive and clearly laid out steps and logic to creating a risk assessment etc. However there were numerous spelling mistakes and the wording of the quizzes and test questions was sometimes so poor it was difficult to decide what the question actually was, not in the sense it was deliberate to test you but that you could be inadvertently caught out. An idea of the length of each module or a progress display would help fit it in around existing work more easily. Some of the presentations on aspects of risk, eg asbestos, buildings, lighting could be amalgamated to avoid repetition and make the course less onerous, some of them had blank pages/wouldn't load at all.

Many thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the wording of the assessments is set by IOSH so we have limited ability to change them. Similarly, the structure of the modules is set by the IOSH syllabus so we have limited ability to change that. But if you could let us know what questions / modules you are referring to, we'll feed that back to IOSH so that they are aware of it. The course has been running for 3 years now and we thought all the typos were removed. Again, if you can recall any we'll get them seen to. We are in the process of updating all our courses at the moment and we will be incorporating a progress bar within a module that will supplement the existing check boxes. Great feedback though. Thanks for taking the time to provide that.

Online course seems well designed. Had a few issues with slides stalling as they loaded, but this may well have been an issue with my wifi connection. Maybe advise course participants that a hard-wired network connection preferable for the assessment test.

Many thanks for your feedback David. We'll take that on board. We optimise the course content as well as we can so it is not too demanding on the internet connection. But ultimately, that will always be the weakest link when it comes to a course that is taken over the internet. Great feedback though and we will take that on board.

Easy process to book & access the course, same applies to instructions for undertaking. Would also like to have some idea of the length of time IOSH take to confirm results and send certification - currently no indication whatsoever (eg 2-3 days, 1 week, 3-4 weeks, …?) I would definitely use HSQE again.

Hello Stephen. Many thanks for your feedback. The certificates come from IOSH. We notify IOSH as soon as you complete the course (ie when the tutor emailed you after they mark the project) . From that point we are in IOSHs hands and the time to deliver the certificate really depends on their workload. Sometimes we get it in a matter of days and sometimes it can take several weeks. But we send it on by first class signed-for delivery as soon as we receive it from them. if you need evidence of passing the course, the email sent to you by the tutor should be sufficient for most client's needs. I hope that helps. John Constable, Managing Director, HSQE Ltd.
