“The course was interesting and well paced but not as in depth as I had anticipated. My biggest quibble is the need to send photo ID/ID documents to obtain the end of course certificate. Also, you have spelled my name wrong on this request for a review. Its Eastcott, not Eascott.”

Thank you for your feedback, Martin. IOSH requires photo identification to ensure the integrity of certifications and confirm that certificates are issued to the correct individuals. We understand this can feel like an extra step, but it’s essential to maintain the value and integrity of the certification for all participants.

“I enjoyed the training, the questions were somewhat confusing but Im one that never cheats on saftey training because I have had an acident on an offshore platform that would be my last trip on a rig. so i take it serious. The course material doesnt cover my profession in oil & gas industry but I did Identify with most, except for the UK legislation (I live in South Africa and travel to middle East to work) The oil industry is quite regulated and H S & E is a major priority and there is a lot of control measures in place that still doesnt stop incidents from occouring - and some are fatal. So If you could include some future material around this industry it would get 5 star rating”

“A very thorough and informative course. (I would have enjoyed it more if I'd known the true length of it, but I'd been mistakenly told by a colleague it was about 4-6 hours! - Not your fault thought! :-) It was very clear each step of the way, about what needed to be done and when - 8/10.”

“The training material and support offered is very good, easy and straight forward to follow. It shows you where you are as you go through the material and gives you case studys to have a got at. I liked the advice video at the end to watch before completing the project, which l found useful and the fact you have a mock exam, before the actual exam. I guess my only criticism is towards some of the exam questions, those which are sentences and you have to select the approprite word from a drop down list. Some were fine, but others, especially the much longer sentences, it could have been more than one word which you could use from the list in certain parts of the sentence and therefore became problematic in choosing which word to use I would have preferred more multiple choice questions or questions you had to put free text in to test knowledge rather than picking a word, which in some cases, not always because in certain parts of the sentence it had to be a particular word, l found this at times to be subjective.”

“Informative and very interesting, this course provides you with basic knowledge and understanding of how health and safety can affect people and makes you think of stuff you wouldn’t normally think of as well as giving you the run down on how to implement ways of controlling situations with regards to the plan do check and act stages”

“Great to be able to complete the IOSH ourse at my own pace. The content was good and set at the right level. The only criticism I would have is that there is no ability to download the slides and there is a lot of reading with little interaction. I couldn't find a way to have the slides read out either, so I found myself drifting at times and losing concentration. That said, I have learned a lot and found the exercises useful. Although the course can still be acccessed for up to 6 months, a course booklet for future reference would have been welcomed.”

“The course was interesting and opened my eyes to lots of H&S issues I wouldn't have considered. I did find the format, constantly opening and closing slids, a little tedious. Overall more enjoyable than I anticipated!”

“The courses themselves were very good and the bundle of courses available alongside my iosh course were really good also. I did not like the fact that I had 3 separate log ins, one for IOSH and another for my bundle even tho I bought them together then I had another log in where I managed the courses as tho I had 2 students. This was not very user friendly to navigate or understand at first.”
