“I started getting my coffee from Higgins and their shop in Duke St in the 1980s. I was introduced by a friend who was a restaurateur and knew where to source good food when choice was limited. At that time it was so rare to find coffee of that quality in the U.K. and yet, decades later when I began to order it online...and there were many more competitors who had entered the market ... I hadn’t found any to rival it. Pioneering has its admirers... and I’m one of them, but it is even more remarkable to stay ahead of all the new competition when they benefit from the market and demand you created. So chapeau. And please just keep the coffee flowing ...”
