“I tried ordering £150 of Records during the pandemic. I kept being stalled for weeks and months. I foolishly gave them the benefit of the doubt and after 6 months it was apparent my money had been stolen and I'd not be receiving my goods based on the multiple lies Neil had spun when I politely enquired where my stuff was! He then failed to process my refund! He ignored my requests to mediate on his unlawful behaviour. He had violated my consumer rights and breached contract several times! So after my Final Demand(s) being ignored I sued him!!! I got my money back and would advise others to do the same- which I believe some have! Wake up and act now- you are very unlikely to recover your money, stock or receive goods you paid for. You will have to play hard ball as he only takes your patience, kindness, empathy and loyalty for weakness! You've been warned! ⚠️”
“Yep I fell prey to this scam site. Avoid like the plague. Currently trying to get my money back after nothing was sent and they’ll spam the bejesus out of your email.”
“They delete reviews on Trustpilot as Fred and lots of others say on the Hundreds of bad reviews on the web, but Trustpilot don't seem to be listening to these people
because there taking them off
Why what's the point of using them or putting reviews on if there letting people getting ripped off for thousands”
“Don't go there you may as well give your money to charity because it will be going to a good course not in there pockets as you would be lucky to see any records at all
And do not let it drag on if you are silly enough to part with your money because you will not get a refund off your card and they know that look at the reviews on here and on other sites
I ordered a pre order vinyl off Juno when it came out 2 mouths later i had it straight away still waiting for the one off these 12 months after lost it now to late to claim i have lost a few hundred”
“Fairly sure this is a scam - they take payment, don't send the items, and then spam emails about new offerings (which likely don't exist). Avoid at all costs.”
“Scammers, avoid this company at all costs.
They take your money and then don’t post anything.
They do not respond to email or phone calls.
Do not buy from them!”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!
This company lists items for sale that it does not have in stock, promising to acquire within 5 days- they kept me waiting for 10 weeks, with repeated fob offs blaming suppliers, cancelled part of the order as they could not procure it, didn’t refund this part of the order until the rest came in and was sent, and then had the nerve to charge additional postage as the part of the order THEY CANCELLED took me under the free postage threshold I had deliberately met.
This company is an absolute farce.
Order at your peril”
“Absolutely shocking customer service. In June 2022 the website gave the impression that Expansions in the NYC - Louie Vega was in stock, I paid for next day delivery and paid £45.99 via Amazon Pay. It didn't arrive and 9 days later I eventually got a reply to my email.... then the repeated excuses and missed delivery dates started. Then just a few days ago (now Dec. 2022), six months and 56 emails later, I received an invoice for another £18, apparently due to them having to source from another more expensive distributor. I refused and after numerous requests for a refund they did eventually pay my money back. No apologies from Neil. Worst record buying experience ever - avoid at all costs!”
“ABSOLUTE SCAM. Took my money, then claimed they were waiting for stock, then refused to refund as it was beyond the time frame for a refund even though they never had the stock in the first place. Neil Monteiro is now not responding to my messages. I've seen a number of others have been scammed by him too. AVOID at all costs.”
“Purchase records and not arrived,
Seam doggy, and I wish I never purchased anything now!
Really disappointed service,
I will be claiming my money back for credit card, as I think this is a theft.”
“Worst experience ever. I bought my records in August 2021. 15 months later, I received 3 out of 8 records, and even after a lot of complaints (more than 50 emails). They never paid me back for the unsent records. Neil Montero either doesn't answer or tells lies. For example, I bought the Tony Bennet & Lady Gaga record and Neil told me it was sold out. (but I had pre-ordered it!). He didn't give me back my money, but the very same record is still being advertised by mail-marketing today (November 5, 2022)! If there is ever a lawsuit against this hideous dealer, I will definitely join.”
“**Nov 2, 2022** After paying for 2 items around mid September that appeared to be sold out everywhere else online, I was excited to put through the order. The items don’t arrive after 5-6 weeks, which has happened before with sellers on Discogs (for example) but I’m secure knowing I’ll get the records or a refund—no panic on my end. I follow up via email and am told the items will ship later in the week. All good.
I then receive another automated email a day or so later that invoices me an additional £10 over and above what I had already paid. I ask about the additional charge and am told it’s due to brexit, rising fuel costs, and a new postal fulfillment service. I was under the impression that brexit occurred earlier than 6 weeks ago. Ditto for higher fuel costs. Sounds like I’m being gouged, no?
I reply asking for a full refund instead. Neil Monteiro replies back to tell me I can have my money back in 14 days. Amazing. I’ll be contacting my credit card company later today to notify them of Neil Monteiro’s “business practices” and to secure a refund much sooner.”
“Ordered two vinyl two months ago and I have heard nothing about them. I emailed horizon music many times and was just met with an automatic email response saying they’re moving office and would email me back in a week. Of course they have not yet.”
“PLEASE READ:
It's been over a year since i've dealt with HORIZONS MUSIC
I'm still livid.
First of all, they DELETE reviews on Trustpilot. So beware!
I tried to post my reivew on there 5 times, each time having it removed shortly afterwards.
They don't have have anything in stock. I'll repeat. NOTHING IS IN STOCK.
They take your money, and then you'll be waiting months...
When you do email them and get a response, they'll promise you it'll be with you soon
You wait longer ... still nothing.
Then you ask for a refund
If you're lucky enough to get a response then, you'll be asked if you'd like to SWAP for something else ..
This person LOVES what they're doing. Scamming people.
That's the impression I got when I conversed with them. Sociopath !
I'd rather set fire to my money than ever give it to this loathsome C**T again”
