“Super service. Great selection of frames and lenses. Eye tests are thoroughly explained, and genuinely fun, given the super helpful staff that explain all the tests in detail in layman's terms for the optically uninitiated. Same day, and within the hour delivery of new frame with custom lenses serving the focal power needs. Got there at 9am, eye test completed at 930am, brand new frame with prescription lenses in my hand at 10am. Excellent!”

“I recently had a glasses disaster when my frames broke a couple of days before l was due to fly to ltaly. Hodd Barnes and Dickens to the rescue! From my first contact phone call l was impressed by the combination of friendly and professional advice. This was borne out consequently on my visit to the Holborn shop. They did a brilliant job of repairing (completely restoring) my frames quickly and efficiently without fuss, but with the highest level of professionalism and skill. All this with a smile. A friendly welcome and sterling service that l can't recommend highly enough. Thank you so much HB&D.”

“I just happened to come across this opticians walking to Holborn Station. Went in and wow what amazing frames they have. I was served by Shivali and she really gave great service and knows how frames fit face types. I ended up buying some new frames and the whole process was very personalised. I'd highly recommend this place and Shivali to get you great frames.”

“I arrived in London at midnight this past Friday only to discover that my suitcase where I had foolishly placed 2 pair of prescription glasses had not arrived with me. I emailed Hodd Barnes & Dickens from their website and received a polite auto-reply saying an associate would be contacting me. I expected no contact until Monday, but Sunday evening, I received a personal email and was given a 9 am appointment today with Maya. She was professional, empathetic to my situation, very knowledgable and helpful. Because Ioday is my final day in London, I was not able to get multifocal nor polarzed sunglasses, but the glasses I ordered will serve to get me by until my suitcase is found or until I return to London for 3-4 days and can have Hodd Barnes & Dickens send my new frames in and get the lenses I really want to have. I am very pleased with the service and products I received today and highly recommend this company.”

“This is the second time I have bought a Lindberg frame with Hoya varifocal lenses from HB&D and there is no other choice. I am a photographer and have bought over 10 spectacles from high street opticians over my career. The HB&D combination is by far the best for clarity of vision and lightness of frame. Well worth every penny.”

“Very impressed by the excellent level of customer service all round. Eye examination was conducted very professionally with x-rays being explained in detail. Agata who advised on frames and whom I saw on subsequent visits to collect both pairs of glasses was unfailingly courteous and efficient. Compared to opticians I have dealt with in the past, I felt very valued and cared for. It was a friend’s recommendation that led me to you and I have no hesitation in recommending you myself.”
