“After doing a lot of reading on different sites, I decided to bite the bullet and for the first time get my new TV (Sony X850C) professionally calibrated. I decided to go with Vincent from HDTVtest after reading through the reviews of various options. I definitely made the right choice. I couldn't be happier with the result. I thought my TV already had a decent picture but I couldn't be more wrong. The difference is night and day. The picture is crisper. The detail in dark scenes is worlds ahead of how it was. Motion judder of any kind is basically gone. Best TV related cash I've ever spent. Vincent was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Great communication pre visit answering any questions I may have had and then whilst doing the calibration explaining everything as he went. He's also simply a great guy. If you're considering getting you TV professionally calibrated then this is the man you should have do it.”

“Many thanks to Vincent for not only calibrating ISF day/night modes but most of all for fixing the underlying screen drives in engineering, which on this replacement motherboard were so screwed that picture quality was awful.... A small flaw in panasonics warranty ! Many thanks.... the frustration of knowing something was wrong ... Is now gone, and films deliver their true depth..... :-)”

“I finally bit he bullet and got Vincent in to calibrate my new js8500 - The difference between the calibrated viewings and the default settings are night and day you really need to see it - well worth the time and Vincent went through each of the settings and explained what he was doing from start to finish. Also started to do my projector (an old InFocus IN82) - but surprisingly it was pretty close to perfect. Highly recommend getting this done....”

“The whole experience was very good from me making my initial contact to Vincent arriving and completing the callibration. While he was at my house he talked me through the process so I understood exactly what he was doing and he was also very thorough. When he had finished he made sure I was happy with the picture and gave me the opportunity to make further changes. The picture is significantly better than before and in my opinion was well worth the money - I had a particular issue with motion flow and this is now sorted.”

“I own a P55VT65B plasma which I have owned since May 2013 and has over 7500 hours of use put through it. I was debating whether to buy an OLED 4k TV but as the technology has not quite settled in yet I decided to get my plasma calibrated and wait a few more years. I contacted Vincent Teoh as I regularly read his reviews and knew I could be sure he would do a good job. When Vincent arrived he was extremely polite and then began to talk through what would happen throughout the calibration process. Vincent went into a lot of detail of why he was doing what he was doing and didn't mind explaining further when I didn't understand. Once the calibration was complete Vincent put on The Dark Knight Blu Ray and pointed out the pre and post calibration changes, although they were quite obvious. My plasma had a reddish hue which was corrected. The grey scale was corrected which gave the appearance that the blacks were blacker. My favourite change was the whites. I didn't realise before but my whites were a dirty colour and now they are 'Daz detergent' white! I have found that the post calibrated display to be ever so slightly more soft but the image displays more detail. I have found that the picture now appears less flat, I wouldn't go as far as to say it looks 3D but definitely has a greater sense of depth which I love. Overall both my Girlfriend and I are extremely happy with the service and the results and we now have peace of mind that we're viewing films as the director intended.”

“I booked Vincent to come and calibrate my samsung 55HU8500 (bought june 2015). Having tinkered with the settings myself i knew i wasn't getting the best picture possible. even settings i had not previously altered were incorrect once Vincent had my calibration equipment set up. Vincent went through exactly what he was altering, explaining throughout what the optimum settings were and how they compared to what they were before. The end result was very impressive and well worth the cost of having it done. It would be such a shame to splash out on a quality tv and not go the extra mile to ensure it is displaying the best picture possible. If your sitting on the fence on whether to get your tv calibrated, i would highly recommend it. It's nice to meet someone who really cares about what they do and Vincent only left once i was happy in all aspects of my new settings. Thanks again Dave”

“Vincent was a real pleasure , a rare combination of a really nice bloke who was both courteous and also knew what he was doing a consummate professional .. I anticipated he would want to be left alone to concentrate without me breathing down his neck and asking questions , not a bit if it . He loved me being interested in what he was doing and basically refused to leave until absolutely sure all was to my liking and more importantly his . All in all a nice guy interested in delivering results and making sure his clients are happy Can't really ask for more A refreshing change ???? Allan Whittle Sandbach Cheshire”

“What can I say, my LG EG960V OLED is one of the best tvs out right now but Vincent has taken it to another level. The colours are totally true to life and there's a new depth to the image. I had all the settings wrong! It's worth getting your tv calibrated, to see it at its full potential.”

“Vincent came to calibrate my Sony X309C, and took the time to explain everything he was doing so that I understood each change he was making, no matter how small the change was. I was also very happy that even though he calibrated the settings to what his system was showing, he asked me my opinion on each change and then tweaked the calibration accordingly. Have a PDF at the end of the calibration with all my settings on was very useful! If you ever want to get the best out of your TV then definitely get Vincent round to calibrate it.”

“I contacted Vincent from HDTV test after visiting his website on many occasions reading his reviews during my TV search which ended my purchasing a Panasonic TX-P50GT50 over Christmas 2013. I messed about with calibration settings with various calibration discs and a THX calibration disc, however after much research I realised that for the most realistic picture that confirms to the industry standard “Rec709” I needed to have my TV professionally calibrated, and after researching on the internet including various AV forums, I found out that Vincent Teoh from HDTV Test was ISF qualified and came very highly recommend. There were other calibrators I found via internet searching and via the ISF website, but after spending many hours on the HDTV website, reading the testimonials and how much I enjoyed his style and depth of TV reviews, I decided I only wanted Vincent to calibrate my TV. I contacted Vincent via his website enquiring about his calibration service, and a few short weeks later Vincent was knocking at my door, Vincent is a very polite and charming man and after he set up his equipment and started explaining the calibration process to me its was clear to me that he is extremely knowledgable and passionate about television displays. About 2 hours later and my set was was calibrated for both day and night viewing and the difference is staggering, Vincent played a BluRay of 'The Dark Knight Rises' and paused it at various times and flicked through the viewing modes to highlight the differences, and they were literally chalk and cheese, the colour palette more natural, shadow highlights vastly improved, not to mention the deeper inkyer blacks. Overall I was very impressed with Vincent himself and very happy with his calibration of my TV, it was a pleasure to watch Vincent work, and my BluRays now look absolutley stunning. If you want the very best picture from your TV, get Vincent to calibrate it, you will not be disappointed!!”

“My Panasonic AX902 was calibrated late July 2015. I was dubious at first as to how much difference it would make but decided to take the plunge anyway based on my experience with car engine ECU remapping and how much more pleasurable they are to drive after a good remap. What a difference the calibration has made! Vincent Teoh from HDTV test really knows his stuff. My Panasonic was displaying too much blue which I had grown accustomed to. The calibrated display is outstanding. Colours are incredibly accurate and Blu Rays are a pleasure to watch. The detail the calibration has brought out is nothing short of breathtaking. I recently watched Interstellar and couldn't get enough of the picture and sound. I have a Panasonic BDT 460 EB9 Blu Ray player which produces beautiful pictures but even more so with a calibrated display. I also watched Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation on an IMAX screen to compare the colours and accuracy to my TV and must admit, it is right up there in terms of cinematic pleasure. All of my movie viewing will now be on Blu Ray when they are released as I don't feel the need to visit the cinema anymore. I highly recommend Vincent Teoh and I also highly recommend getting your TV calibrated...you definitely won't regret it!”

“HDTVTest Calibration Review Recently had a professional calibration done by Vincent Teoh on my Samsung JS9000 - here are some brief thoughts on the results. THE PROCESS Vincent was great, friendly, knowledgable and walked me through the whole process from start to finish. I'd always been interested in finding out more about calibration so it was great to see the entire process and all the tools involved. RESULTS A 'Movie' mode picture with beneficial settings and perfect, natural colour. SKY HD Knockout! A superb, deep yet detailed picture from the first look. Perfection NETFLIX Same as SKY HD! BLU-RAY This is where my personal preference differed from the calibration. I changed Motion Plus back to STANDARD from CUSTOM as I just found it smoother to my eyes. Some might argue it adds in Soap Opera Effect, but I just found it noticeably smoother and felt more natural. The colours were great and natural though and this just made it seem more life-like. PRICE It's not a cheap process and realistically perhaps a bit expensive.... However, when I take into account the £2K spent on the TV, the extra £250/£300 spent on calibration is worth the extra enjoyment I will get from the picture over the next few years. The calibrated settings give me a perfect base on which I can better understand what works and what doesn't and give it a tiny tweak here and there as preference dictates. OVERALL Recommended. Not cheap but overall worth the undoubted improvement in picture. Vincent did a great job 4.5 / 5”

“I asked Vincent from HDTV Test to calibrate my Panasonic TX-50CX802B as I knew that the image on the TV was not the best that could be obtained from the TV. Post calibration the picture is brilliant. I was able to arrange a convenient time with Vincent, received a text message when he was setting off with his estimated arrival time and he arrived exactly on this time. Once at the house, Vincent promptly set up his gear to do the calibration. The equipment is clearly some of the best available as he was able to link his laptop software to the TV to calibrate precisely without needing to even use the TV remote. Throughout the calibration process, Vincent explained what he was doing and what the effect adjustments he was making would be. He was keen that I understood this and offered to slow down if he was going too quickly / too in depth for me to understand. He is clearly a perfectionist and was keen to make sure that the calibrated settings were the best they could possibly be. After he had finished we looked at various different programmes / Blu-ray and were able to compare the pre and post calibrated images. The results are brilliant with the image looking far more natural and realistic - arguably more 3D despite only being in 2D. The colours are amazing, a combination of the great Panasonic display (which was highly commended by Vincent on HDTV Test) and Vincent's expert calibration. Without any doubt, the colours are the most accurate I have ever seen on any display. Vincent later took the time to email me a document containing all the calibrated settings should the TV lose the programmed settings (i.e. if reset). The process was relatively quick, results amazing and Vincent is a very friendly and knowledgeable guy. I would highly recommend his services to anyone that has a high-end TV that has not been professionally calibrated.”

“I engaged Vincent to calibrate my new JVC X500 Projector. This was my first real high quality projector and I knew that getting it calibrated would be essential, especially after trying to make some of my own corrections by eye. Needless to say Vincent's calibration has made a night and day difference and was worth every penny. The process is entirely scientific and little is left to subjectivity; this is the only way to experience Blu-ray and DVD as the filmmakers intended. Don't hesitate.”

“To be honest I wasn't entirely sure I would see any difference. I was wrong. Colours are more vivid, skin tones more natural, blacks are deeper and there's an incredible depth of field now. Games are astonishing. Even my wife, who, by her own admission, doesn't generally notice such things, reckoned Corrie looks 'amazing now'. It seems like a gauze has been lifted from the screen. Vincent is a great chap, taking care to explain in suitably simple terms the whys and wherefores of what he was doing. I'd also taken his advice prior to arrival and spent next to nothing in some LED bias lighting. The combination of this and the calibration has made my Samsung look like a new telly. If you're spending this much on a TV, it and you deserve making it look like it should. Do it.”

“I got in touch with Vincent after getting frustrated with posterization issues on my Panasonic TX-P50GT60. He was helpful throughout the process, from first contact to the final tweaks, talking me through the stages at all times. It was fascinating seeing the tiny adjustments as they were made via Vincent's laptop (I foolishly thought he'd be there fiddling with the remote control for 2 hours). It was an often painstaking and time consuming process, but Vincent was obviously keen to get the best results for me. The finished article is fantastic. Posterisation issues are all but gone, and films look better than ever. The creation of isf night and isf day modes was handy, too, as the TV is in a bright room. The changes he made to 3D mode are like night and day, literally. 3D is now infinitely more watchable, with much brighter images that retain their clarity. I'd highly recommend Vincent's services to anyone wanting to get the most out of their purchase.”

“I decided on a calibration on my Samsung UE55HU8500,after some research I happened upon Mr Vincent Teoh,on arrival he promptly set up his gear and explained what everything was for and then asked about my viewing habits,ie do i watch in the dark more than in the light,what I tended to watch and programme preferences,after this commenced a lesson in calibration,he showed me what he was doing on every step and fully explained the reason for doing it,he also encouraged any questions I had,so after an hour or so came the demo disks of Dark Night and Pacific Rim (3d) well all I can say is I was blown away with detail it was as if my bluray had been swapped for a 4k player it was really that good,so if you are thinking about calibration please ask Vincent he certainly knows his stuff Thanks Vincent Mark Grove”

“Vincent calibrated our Panasonic Plasma TV in July 2015. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I was very impressed by this, and by his determination to achieve the best possible results. The picture quality of our TV was significantly improved from what I had thought was pretty good starting point, and his visit was definitely worthwhile.”
