“I was looking for some hiking poles for my wife and I ahead of a trip to Canada. I was pretty sure what I wanted, but the variance in price across brands with decent reviews made choosing very difficult. We stumbled across a review of running/hiking poles which listed the well known brands but also gave a super positive shout-out to Harrier. Hearing that they were a UK brand too had me hot-footing across to their website to see what was on offer. We'd decided we wanted Z poles with added adjustment, because, as newbies to using poles we weren't comfortable about selecting the correct fixed length poles. With that in mind it came down to either the Hellvelin or Catbells non-pro versions. I wasn't sure whether to go with aluminium or carbon fibre variants so I dropped a quick note to Harrier's customer service team and they pointed me in the right direction, interestingly pointing me towards the cheaper of the two options! Our two pairs of Catbells arrived within a few days of ordering them (free delivery chosen) and we are really happy with them. We've not used them in anger yet but they seem robust and comfortable, plus light weight and very packable, which is exactly what we were looking for. The mechanism for extending and folding them couldn't be easier. The key thing you need to remember with the variable height poles is to ensure that you have enough tentsion on the flip lock to ensure they don't slip. Once tight they seem very stable. All in all a very positive shopping experience. I particularly appreciated the included 'how to' video tutorials too.”

“Bought myself a set of catbells PRO poles, a Baslow waistbag and a cap for my lad. Delivery was quick and arrived well packaged. The poles are great, really light and easy to set up and put away. The Baslow waistbag is brilliant, I'm so pleased I bought it as I wasn't going to bother but thought the extra space can only be a good thing on a long run. The rubber grip on the inside is great, helping keep it in place, the side pockets are perfect to store gels and the front pockets are great for snacks, buff, gloves etc. It also has 2 loops at the rear for storing your poles,a really good, well thought out bag, it even came with a 300ml soft flask but what I really like is the feel and quality and when you take it off to store away it folds down really small and would easily fit into a jacket side pocket, I'm so glad I bought it instead of some of the more expensive bags out there, oh and my lad loved his ridgerunner cap. 10/10 Harrier top marks all the way, thankyou ,Jason”

“Good quality equipment for a very reasonable price. Really pleased with the Kinder 10L bag - it fits really well, has loads of convenient pockets and doesn’t jiggle about on your back! Definitely a site to return to when I need more kit.”
