A very nice company in general - just sad the water bottle lids have changed :(

Easy to order and poles turned up following day. Unfortunately on their first use one of the poles broke and had to return them. Was able to get a refund with no hassle

Bottles are good but I also ordered a jacket. Item was oversold so I didn’t get it? Pretty poor service

Bit of a mixed bag with products, but their customer service is good. The carbon poles I bought are excellent, but I was a bit disappointed with the Kinder 10L vest. No way does it deserve the reviews it gets, but it is extremely comfortable.

We purchased two items on a 24 hour delivery service which is offered by Harrier Trail Running. One item arrived within that timescale and was used and was fit for purpose. Unfortunately the second one did not arrive until over 48 hours later and so was then surplus to requirements. Have returned the item and hope to receive a refund shortly. Communications were very responsive when we were ordering but have been much slower when requesting information on where our order was and on returns.

Generally I like buying from Harrier because of good value and innovative design, but it has been a bit hit and miss with different products. My general observation is that most items involving fit seem to be aimed more at smaller-built people and even though I am only 32" waist and average build, everything seems a bit tight or snug, more so than is usually understood by "active fit".

The bottle straws I ordered and received are not compatible with either of my existing soft bottles (none of the 2 brands and 6 bottles I alreday have). It would appear, therefore, that these are only compatible with Harrier soft bottles but I don't think that is clear on the website/in marketing. Undettered, upon receipt, I the tried to order a couple of Harrier soft bottles from your website, to go with these, but every single colour was out of stock then and they are still ot of stock now @ 15/4/26, so this is disappointign and it a good job I don't have a looming Ultra Trail Marathon for which I wanted them for. Purchased waist bag and water bottle. Pros:excellent capacity , excellent number of compartments. reasonably comfortable. Cons: water bottle carrier is located to the side resulting in significant movement when running. I had to reposition bag so waterbottle in middle of my front. Strap is not elasticated so needs to be vey tight to prevent movement.

I think the service as a whole is good and the firm has a good reputation in the trail running community.

Birthday present for grandson was delayed by several weeks, and the date got later and later. However Kate did keep me informed about where the jacket was and when the jacket might arrive. It arrived I think on the 16/12. I haven't seen it but our grandson liked it so that was ok. If I had known it was going to be so Kate I probably would not have ordered it.

Hi Maureen, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m sorry the delivery was delayed and that the timing caused you frustration. I’m glad to hear your grandson liked the jacket despite everything, and we’ll take your feedback on the communication onboard to help us improve. We had a challenge with pre order stock arriving and it was compounded by a warehouse move, not our usual service I can assure you. If there’s anything more we can do to help, please let us know. Kind regards, Team Harrier Trail Running

Poor communication with customers once they have your money. Recently pre-ordered the exmoor 2.5 on 15 November (mid-November). Received email same day as order saying delivery expected early November. I emailed for an update on 26 November (late November). I received a response on 27 November to say an email was sent to me on the 26th. I replied to say nothing was received and I got a reply the next day (28 November) forwarding the email. The email didn’t apply to me as I had not ordered the Exmoor Pro. I responded the same day seeking clarity on the 2.5. No reply until 1 December to tell me that the jackets were due to ship on 9 December. I asked for another update on 16 December and finally received the jacket on 19 December. I don’t have a problem with delays but the communication is shocking and I would expect to be informed every step of the way when dates change. I’m not sure if I hadn’t have asked if I would have had any communication at all.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m sorry for the frustration caused by the communication around your Exmoor 2.5 preorder. We’ve clearly fallen short here and we are aware that some of our automated, individual and group emails overlapped and weren't as timely or clear as they should have been on this occasion. With the arrival of the jackets a moving situation we were trying to send out the most up to date communications- and I know we missed the mark. We have since reviewed our messaging cadence to ensure customers are kept informed at every step. I hope you have had chance to test out your jacket and that it was worth the wait. Any problems, please contact us. Warm regards, Aimee

The wrapping on the £80 purchase was very poor quality such that it was split open. I just hope it has not affected the garment itself

Hi Alice, We’re really sorry to hear the wrapping was damaged on arrival. That shouldn’t happen, and we understand your concern about the garment. If you can, please email your order number and a couple of photos of the packaging (and the garment, if you’ve opened it) to support@harrierrunfree.co.uk. We’ll investigate what went wrong and arrange a replacement or refund (your choice) if the garment is damaged. Thank you for flagging this, and we’ll get this sorted for you as quickly as possible. Warm regards, Team Harrier Trail Running

I love the waistbelt, however, the bottle fell out during my run and I didn't realise until I went to get a drink. Wasn't very happy as I hadn't even had a drink from it yet.

I like the company, and the fact that it is British but I am a little disappointed with the strap design of my Curbar 5L vest.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the strap design on your Curbar 5L vest didn’t meet your expectations. If you’d like, please share a few details about what you’d improve, or any photos of the strap, and we’ll pass this to our product team for review. Cheapish - hotter than other vests and less comfortable. Contains a million labels telling you to not even attempt a refund or swap after wearing it even for a second - no real way to try the vest for fit without their language suggesting you have no right for returns. I was given a leaking bottle which they did replace. I haven't tried returning the vest.

Hi Zakary, Thanks for taking the time to review. I’m sorry to hear the vest was less comfortable for you than others you have used, and that the labeling around returns feels heavy-handed. We want you to have confidence to try on gear at home. We do expect that people will want to try the vests on at home. We are currently developing a new vest- due to launch later next year. We’re glad the bottle issue was resolved for you, if there’s anything else you’d like us to help with, just let us know. Warm regards, Team Harrier Trail Running

The company offers affordable outdoor gear, but in my experience, you get what you pay for. While the prices are tempting, the durability and performance just don’t hold up for more demanding hikes/run or wet conditions.

Hi Guy, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We understand affordability shouldn’t come at the expense of durability, and we’re sorry the products your bought didn’t meet your expectations for tougher conditions. If you’d like us to review your specific items, please send your order number and a couple of photos to support@harrierrunfree.co.uk. We can discuss options. Warm regards, Team Harrier Trail Running
