Couldn’t recommend any less. Such a shame as the trainers were lovely. Spent 20 hours doing pre learning videos which was very good. The face to face day was only 4 hours long but they told us to leave 30 mins early as we had finished. 1 hour spent recapping the e-learning, 20 mins practicing on a mannequin (botox & cheek filler only) they drew a picture of lips on the board and talked about technique for 5 minutes but no mannequin practice for this. Then expected to treat my models lips even though I had no idea how to do it! They didn’t provide any models themselves. Other than the 20 mins we had no other mannequin practice. I have left feeling like I still have no idea what I’m doing and have had to pay to go on another lip foundation course. Very upset and disappointed.

We were fortunately able to speak with the reviewer directly the day after this training session and resolve each of the issues identified to their satisfaction. In response to this feedback and our own observations, our Foundation Day course duration has reverted to 8 hours, as we recognised the practical limitations of the shorter format (which in turn had been introduced as a result of COVID restrictions).
We sorted out our issues now

I did botox and filler foundation course and i paid £850 for 1 day course ! The content of the course was ok but this course has got no practicality. After course i was told by head of organisation that i can pay extra to bring a model to practice under observation. I tried several times to book but unfortunately nobody bothered to answer my enquiries ! Very poor , ignorance customer services! I don't recommend this course to anybody , i simply lots £850 !! There is no support or follow up after this course .

Thank you for submitting your review. I am sorry to hear that you felt our foundation day left you feeling like you did not receive enough practical experience to continue your aesthetics journey. We do aim to provide ample opportunities on the day to practice your injection techniques with our life-like mannequins as we understand that our one-day course is your first step to becoming a confident and independent practitioner in aesthetics. We do apologise for the fact that your enquiry was not answered by a member of the team. It would be really useful for us to know where you submitted your enquiry to ensure that this does not happen in the future. Under close supervision, I can confirm that we do offer additional practical training for our students which includes sourcing your own patient model. If you could give us a call on 0203 859 7598 or contact us on fd@harleyacaedemy.com directly, we would be more than happy to help you gain further practical experience to build your confidence'.
Did the foundation day in liverpool, I didn't leave feeling comfortable and when I mentioned this they told me to do further courses with them, pushing heavily on their masters. At the time I assumed this was the standard for a foundation course as they have a good reputation but from talking to other injectors who did different courses it does not seem to be the case. We didn't inject people, just plastic models, what doses and where to inject in dermal fillers was minimally covered etc

Attended foundation botulinum toxin and dermal filler training. The course stated we could inject mannequins as often as we liked to gain confidence, this was not the case. I only briefly got to practise injection techniques on the day. The lip session felt rushed. I have since this course researched other training providers to do further training. Out of 3 other training providers I contacted all of them have models for students to inject under supervision on all injection techniques on foundation courses. I have had to spend more money to train elsewhere as I feel this course was inadequate

I attended the FD on 12th dec 2017 in liverpool and found it uninspiring.. one of the 2 trainers was not willing to answer Qs and was deflecting them to answer later and never got around to them.. I feel it was not worth it. I wish I could have my money back!

On registering and making several inquiries before hand, asking questions about treatments, prices, products used, location etc., I decided to book an appointment for Botox and Lip Fillers at Wimpole Street Clinic London. I went for my appointment today 19th December booked on the 15th November when I paid for 1 treatment and made it clear that I definitely wanted 2 treatments on the day as I was travelling some way and wanted to make the most of the day I booked off work and the train ticket into London. I was informed that it would be fine and just to ask on the day when having my consultation; I did not show any concern as a friend who recommended The Harley Academy had been down a few weeks earlier with a friend and both had 2 treatments on the day. When I arrived I had to wait over 40 mins to be seen as my appointment was booked for 12.15 pm and didn't get called until gone 12.50 pm. During the consultation time I asked about having Botox and Lip Fillers and much to my disappointment was told quite clearly that only 1 Botox treatment was allowed. After my appointment I called and spoke to your bookings department explaining my disappointment etc but was told that nothing could be done about it as it was up to the discretion of the Consultant to make that decision. On returning home I was really upset and called the bookings department again to stress my disappointment with only having had the one Botox treatment and this time I was informed that the Consultant had informed them that in his professional opinion I was unsuitable for lip fillers! What a load of rubbish and extremely unprofessional as I've not had fillers in over a year, the Consultant was clearly trying to cover his backside as he knew I was not happy. You would now prefer I re book another appointment in the new year to have another treatment that have gone up from £100 per treatment to £120, the price I paid in November but now understand all treatments have increased to £160 or as your bookings department said to book with another clinic who was happy to do the lip filler procedure for me. Even more disappointing and unprofessional in my opinion!

Hi there, we're sorry to hear that have been turned away for a treatment in our training clinics. We cannot guarantee that a specific treatment will be performed on the day because this is up to the professional discretion of the practitioner. Your well-being is our top priority, so any hesitation on the part of our practitioner to go ahead with treatment can only be to protect you as we have no other incentive in this kind of situation. We encourage you to seek a second opinion from another practitioner if you have any doubts about the advice that you received today. With best wishes, HA
Cannot recommend at all. Had to travel all the way to Liverpool from London even though I was booked on a London course but being told 'there was a problem with the website and earliest next course in London is end of June ' ( A date I could not attend) Also course wasn't practical. Mostly lectures , little practical content. Felt very rushed when practicing injecting and everyone only got to do facial areas once on a manikin which did not feel very 'human' at all . Felt I had to buy Level 7 course plus mentoring sessions in order to feel confident to start practicing. Cannot recommend this course and certainly won't book Level 7 Course through Harley Academy , sorry .

We apologise for the technical error with our booking system that allowed our London session to double book. Resolving this was a top priority for us, and has now been fixed. Regarding our practical sessions, we are sorry that it was not made clear to you that Harley Academy trains differently to other, one-day course providers. Our training is designed to be gradated in the following way: 1. Theoretical training: especially complications, risks, and their prevention. 2. Hands-on injection practise: learning safe + appropriate needle depth and placement on mannequins. This stage is especially important for students who have no prior experience with facial injectables or facial anatomy. 3. Closely supervised clinical practice on real patients. We believe that this is safest when performed 1:1, in a real clinical environment. As such, it is against our company values to allow extensive hands-on practise injecting patients on the first day of training. If there is anything else that we can do to improve your experience with us, don't hesitate to let us know. Otherwise, we apologise for your negative experience. Kind Regards Harley Academy
