I did botox and filler foundation course and i paid £850 for 1 day course ! The content of the course was ok but this course has got no practicality. After course i was told by head of organisation that i can pay extra to bring a model to practice under observation. I tried several times to book but unfortunately nobody bothered to answer my enquiries ! Very poor , ignorance customer services! I don't recommend this course to anybody , i simply lots £850 !! There is no support or follow up after this course .

Thank you for submitting your review. I am sorry to hear that you felt our foundation day left you feeling like you did not receive enough practical experience to continue your aesthetics journey. We do aim to provide ample opportunities on the day to practice your injection techniques with our life-like mannequins as we understand that our one-day course is your first step to becoming a confident and independent practitioner in aesthetics. We do apologise for the fact that your enquiry was not answered by a member of the team. It would be really useful for us to know where you submitted your enquiry to ensure that this does not happen in the future. Under close supervision, I can confirm that we do offer additional practical training for our students which includes sourcing your own patient model. If you could give us a call on 0203 859 7598 or contact us on fd@harleyacaedemy.com directly, we would be more than happy to help you gain further practical experience to build your confidence'.
Couldn’t recommend any less. Such a shame as the trainers were lovely. Spent 20 hours doing pre learning videos which was very good. The face to face day was only 4 hours long but they told us to leave 30 mins early as we had finished. 1 hour spent recapping the e-learning, 20 mins practicing on a mannequin (botox & cheek filler only) they drew a picture of lips on the board and talked about technique for 5 minutes but no mannequin practice for this. Then expected to treat my models lips even though I had no idea how to do it! They didn’t provide any models themselves. Other than the 20 mins we had no other mannequin practice. I have left feeling like I still have no idea what I’m doing and have had to pay to go on another lip foundation course. Very upset and disappointed.

We were fortunately able to speak with the reviewer directly the day after this training session and resolve each of the issues identified to their satisfaction. In response to this feedback and our own observations, our Foundation Day course duration has reverted to 8 hours, as we recognised the practical limitations of the shorter format (which in turn had been introduced as a result of COVID restrictions).
I attended the FD on 12th dec 2017 in liverpool and found it uninspiring.. one of the 2 trainers was not willing to answer Qs and was deflecting them to answer later and never got around to them.. I feel it was not worth it. I wish I could have my money back!

Did the foundation day in liverpool, I didn't leave feeling comfortable and when I mentioned this they told me to do further courses with them, pushing heavily on their masters. At the time I assumed this was the standard for a foundation course as they have a good reputation but from talking to other injectors who did different courses it does not seem to be the case. We didn't inject people, just plastic models, what doses and where to inject in dermal fillers was minimally covered etc

Attended foundation botulinum toxin and dermal filler training. The course stated we could inject mannequins as often as we liked to gain confidence, this was not the case. I only briefly got to practise injection techniques on the day. The lip session felt rushed. I have since this course researched other training providers to do further training. Out of 3 other training providers I contacted all of them have models for students to inject under supervision on all injection techniques on foundation courses. I have had to spend more money to train elsewhere as I feel this course was inadequate

I enrolled myself in level 7 qualification, back in 2019. Best decision ever. I really enjoy it and very happy for new carrier. The staff are very professional and helpful. I highly recommend it!

I did the Mid face masterclass and I can't recommended Harley academy enough. I learned so much in this masterclass. That made me finally confident to do it on my own with my patients. Dr. Tristan explains all the anatomy in depth and does a demo before you do your case. I loved the fact that we were only 3 delegates giving us time to ask any questions we wanted. I will be back for sure.

I initially trained with Harley Academy on their fantastic level 7 course. I felt well supported and every step was made easier with the efficient back room staff. On the clinical front they excel and ably led by an ever growing faculty. I am now proud to be part of the faculty in my role as mentor for aspiring Level 7 graduates in their clinic days

Emily has been extremely patient with all our queries whilst explaining all details pertaining to the treatments carried out. Positives: Letting us do the markings for injections and give post op instructions. Negatives- Nothing to comment. I am looking forward for one more observation day next week. Great usage of time to explain treatments when patients didnt turn up for appointments as posted below

I felt it was expensive. It also did not achieve what it set out to do- to enable participants be independent practitioners.

Hi there, We're sorry that did not feel that the course was good value. We try to benchmark our Foundation Day fees against the industry average. Foundation Training from any provider will equip you with the legal minimum knowledge to gain insurance, but a single training day will rarely allow a brand new practitioner to practice safely on their own. As such, we focus out foundation days on safety, contraindications, and risks and generally do not recommend that practitioners start injecting independently after just one day of training. We see this as the first step in your journey and encourage you to use the foundation day as a stable foundation for further training. The latest Health Education England guidelines are transforming the nature of the industry, and we feel that it is dishonest for any one-day course provider to market their Foundation Day as a direct route into safe, successful practice any more. Our training is designed to be safely gradated via the following steps: 1. Theoretical training: focus on complications, risks, and their prevention. 2. Hands-on injection practise: learning safe + appropriate needle depth and placement on mannequins. - This stage is especially important for students who have no prior experience with facial injectables or facial anatomy. 3. Closely supervised clinical practice on real patients. We believe that this is safest when performed 1:1, in a real clinical environment, which is why we built our mentoring programme and training clinics. We hope you'll continue on to the Level 7 qualification if you are interested in starting your own independent practice. If there is anything else that we can do to improve your experience with us, don't hesitate to let us know. Otherwise, we apologise for your negative experience. Kind Regards Harley Academy
I found the content OK, I think worksheets to do before would have been beneficial especially around the areas that cause the most concerns whilst giving these procedures. I found that the professionalism was let down. I was highly distracted by the other 2 people leading the day, they were whispering, talking and laughing through most of the presentations with valuable content, when you pay this much for a course, you do not expect this from the people attending or people giving the course. I asked for help of allocation of an injection and was refused an answer and told he will show me when he does a live procedure. However this was not my preferred method of learning, I learn kinetically not visually. It would not have taken long to show me, and this is what we had paid for. After attending, I was made very aware that the course was a waste of money for nurses who cannot prescribe! This could have been identified on the website before hand. Easy Location to find and Easy to get to, food and drink was at a high standard.

The foundation day was well structured and in a very comfortable learning environment. We were looked after very well. The speakers were all well informed and knowledgeable. My only criticisms are, I felt we needed more time to practice and more explanation about landmarks. It was very rushed. More anatomy and physiology. More time to ask questions. A prescribing course would be hugely beneficial. It's quite unsettling that you can't practice unless you find someone to prescribe for you. Also the price of mentoring should be make clear from the outset. Myself and a few other girls all understood that it was included in the L7 price. I left the day feeling confused and anxious about how to proceed with a future in aesthetics.

I am a level 7 student at Harley’s Academy. I did a right choice when I decided to invest in studying level 7 diploma in aesthetic medicine in this institute. They have amazing teachers, mentors. They build conference in you. They teach you how to practice aesthetic medicine and injectables in ethical and scientific way. In addition to amazing student support, who is always there when you need help and answers all your questions. I am so happy that I am one of the students at Harley’s Academy.

This was my first Botox and Dermal Fillers course and I didn't know what to expect. When I arrived at the venue and saw how well-done the office is and experienced the professionalism of Dr. Mehta and the team there, I was really able to focus on the course content. I'm very happy with the knowledge I acquired, and I plan to take my studies to level 7 (Master) and beyond. Thank you, Harley Academy!

I started training with Harley Academy back in 2017, I have nearly completed my level 7 and I am currently living my dream working full time in aesthetics. I have immeasurable gratitude to the entire team from the expert trainers to the student support services for ensuring my learning was comprehensive but also very personal. Harley Academy builds a community among their students which enables professional relationships to form which in turn not only further supports our aesthetic journeys but also makes the career move less isolating. The support is endless, the training is to such a high standard and I am so proud to say I have trained at the BEST aesthetic training organisation in medical aesthetics.

Hi Shantel, Thank you for your shining review, it has been a pleasure having you on the course! We hope to see you at future events. The Harley Academy Courses Team
I enrolled myself in level 7 qualification straight after attending a conference Alternative Career for wellbeing of Doctors. It was the best decision I ever made. Level 7 not only helped me in improving my clinical knowledge but also gave me enough hands on practice to start working independently. I was offered a job even before completing level7. All mentors at Harley academy are supportive and ready to guide. Highly recommend Harley Academy Level 7 Qualification.
