Before the [arty the experience has been great, Trish reached out and asked how to best plan the party. On the day she was punctual and she welcome the children with a smile. I didn't find the activities suited for a 6 years old party, they were more for suitable for younger children and therefore she lost many of the children attention during the party.

The communication was great! The booking was really simple online and we had a call a week or so before the party to confirm details. On the day of the party our entertainer arrived later than we anticipated and we had a few guests already arrive so this wasn’t ideal as we had to improvise . Our entertainer was really polite however we didn’t feel that she grasped the full attention of the children. Our entertainer we imagined would also really absorb our theme so when we were told to allow for setup time we were disappointed it was a suitcase open on the floor and a sound system. This really took the magic away from the superhero day as our daughter envisaged a real superhero boot camp style party, and it just seemed a bit fragmented and not as engulfing. It was a shame as actually I feel that we could have done something ourselves now that would have been a bit more special. Overall a good day but disappointing implementation.

Dear Chloe, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I am very sorry that you felt disappointed with certain aspects of the entertainment, but very glad that it was overall a good day. I have spoken with Katy about your comments and how we can improve in the future. She said she arrived at 10.45am which was 15 minutes before the start time of the booking. I can completely understand that this is not ideal, as she had told you she would be there 30 minutes before the start time of the booking. I do apologise for this. Katy said the venue was tucked behind another building and she had driven past it several times without finding it which made the arrival time 15 minutes later than expected. This is of course not your fault at all and I can understand how this could be worrying for you. Our entertainers always aim to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the booking as this gives ample time for set up. Katy was very glad that in spite of arriving 15 minutes later than planned, she was still able to start the entertainment on time at 11am as booked. For our parties we provide a sound system, bubble machine and other props which include a parachute, pom poms, ribbons, balls, magic tricks, balloons and glitter tattoos. Our equipment is transported in a large suitcase alongside the separate electrical equipment. The set up time is to allow the entertainer time to set up and ensure the electrical equipment is ready to go, along with getting all the props set out on the table to ensure the smooth running of the party, and time to get changed into costume. We always strive to provide a party that is as in line as possible with what our clients expect or have requested in terms of structure and the type of activities provided, so we are very sorry that you feel the entertainment was not what your daughter had in mind. We always encourage clients to give us as much information as possible so we can tailor the party to their wishes. Unfortunately Katy did not know your daughter wanted a boot camp style party, so Katy ran her Superhero party plan, theming the games and activities to superhero and Batgirl. We always appreciate feedback as it helps us be the best we can and shows us where we can improve. We have discussed this feedback in detail with Katy and what changes can be made going forward. We used kinder parties last year for my daughters 4th birthday party and she was amazing best party entertainer I had seen had lots of friends asking about her and being a hair dresser had recommended you to lots of Clinet’s the past year. We had katy come this time to our daughters 5th birthday party, she was friendly and smiley but didn’t do any of the song’s or dances I had asked for I did ask half way through the party if she would be doing them but just told me what she had planed, my daughter loves dancing Action songs but she only did one, she seemed very flusted and a bit stressed and the children couldn’t hear her as she had no microphone I’m sure last year the lady did, also her sound box kept cutting out but she said it was the hall not her box but later told my husband it had be in her car over night in Zero temp and was cutting out the power as it had got damp, so we didn’t have any music for first half of the party, the children seemed to have fun but was a shame half the time they didn’t really know what they were doing because they could hear her. Also my daughter loves supergirl but knew she wasn’t her because had dark hair that was very messy and her costume had seen better days or needed a wash, it’s hard to tell I still 4 year old why she didn’t look like her, she enjoyed it though but I was just a bit disappointed as my standers were so high based on last year,

Dear Carla, I am so sorry to read your review. I have tried to contact you so please let me know when you are available and hopefully we can talk then. I am so sorry to hear about the sound system cutting out. That certainly is not what should have happened at all. I have spoken to Katy and she has confirmed that the sound system was kept in the car the previous night as she unfortunately forgot to take it out after her party on the evening of the previous day. That was also combined with a freezing night where it snowed heavily, which obviously made an impact on the sound system. She was unaware of this problem and after trying the socket with the sound system and it not fully working, she tried the lights from the Christmas tree that was standing there in the same socket and they did not switch on either. Therefore, she incorrectly presumed that it was the socket and not the sound system. I do apologise for this, but wanted to let you know it was a genuine mistake and she was not trying to shift the blame for the sound system not working. It was only when your husband asked her if the sound system had been in the car overnight and he told her that may have made the parts damp that she realised that was the problem. She did however mention that although the sound system cut out about 4 or 5 times, it did get going again quickly so the party was not without music for very long, which is a great relief to hear. It is however definitely not how it should be though, so please do get into contact with me when you can so we can arrange a part refund for your party. I’m so sorry to hear that you thought Katy’s hair was messy and her costume had seen better days. I have asked for the costume to be sent in to the office so we can check it and get it replaced. Katy usually takes so much pride in her appearance and I have asked her to send through her selfie to me that all the entertainers take at the beginning of their parties. Although we offer certain characters, they are a tribute to the character and for trademark and copyright purposes we are not able to offer original characters. We try to make this clear on our booking process, and in our terms and conditions, but I do apologise if this was not made clear for you when you booked. I spoke to Katy about the party dances you mentioned in your review, and she said she made her party plan to the requests you made, which was dancing to Little Mix songs, “What’s the Time Mr Wolf” and “Pass the Parcel”. She made sure all these were included and party dances such as Cha Cha slide. I’m sorry if she missed something you said on the phone, but these are the only items listed on your booking form as special requests. I’m so glad to hear that Ivy enjoyed her party. We really do try and keep our standards at the top, so you were right to have such high standards. I’m so sorry to not have met them this time, and if you would like to discuss this further please do get in touch or reply to the email I sent you. Unfortunately we weren't impressed with the entertainer that was sent to our daughter's party, her microphone was broken, she didn't seem overly happy to be there and didn't use the smoke machine much that we paid extra for.

Dear Ocean, I am so sorry to read your review. I have spoken to Katie at length about the party. I really apologise about the microphone braking. As she was unloading her car it rolled out of her bag, and then didn't work for the party which is a shame. Katie said she explained that this wouldn't be a problem, as sometimes clients request we do not use a microphone, and so she has had experience of parties without a microphone. Unfortunately these things sometimes happen, but it certainly wasn't the way we would like, and would be happy to give you a part refund for her microphone not working as it should. I am very surprised to hear that she didn't seem overly happy to be there. Katie regularly gets outstanding feedback and really loves her job as a party entertainer. She felt the children were really enjoying the party and the activities she was providing. Katie said she used the smoke machine throughout the party, and the children seemed to enjoy it especially during the disco section at the end. It is sometimes difficult to strike a balance to doing the smoke machine to make the disco lights effective and not making it too smoky for the children, so I really apologise if you feel she did not gauge this correctly. When I first heard from my friend about happy kinder I thought I give it a try for my daughter , last year we booked for frozen Elsa ,she was brilliant , she came half hour early setted up ,the kids all thought she was brilliant , my neighbour came over and said she was worth the money . This year I book rapunzel for 8 children, she was half hour late didnt do half the party events that were done last event , she didn't make balloons for all the kids ,no glitter tattoo , all the sponge tattoo were not something the kids were happy with, no balls , the sweets were not veg (gelatin) . I booked for 2hr which I got ,but not very happy with this character .

Dear Aisia, I am so very sorry to read your review. I have spoken to Jay Dee your entertainer, who was very upset to read your comments. I am so sorry Jay Dee was late. She told me that there was a West Ham football match in your area which she hadn't accounted for, so although she left an extra hour than needed, the traffic was standstill. This is of course not your problem and I would be happy to give you a part refund to compensate for her late arrival. Jay Dee also mentioned that you said the children were staying until 6pm, so she offered to entertain them for extra time on top of the 2 hour booking to make up for her arriving late which she did. Normally we do balloon modelling for the first 5-10 minutes and then get going with the party activities.The problem with balloon models, is sometimes clients want games and activities that include all the children, instead of one on one activity like balloon modelling. We can of course make balloons for each child, but just need to be told that that is what you want. As it wasn't mentioned in the booking requests, and you didn't mention it to Jay Dee on the introductory phone call, or on the day, Jay Dee was unaware this is what you wanted. Jules went around the table doing glitter tattoos for the children as they ate. The glitter tattoos are applied with sponge as it is face paint. We can provide temporary tattoos if they are requested, but have found that using face-paint glitter tattoos is better, in case any of the guests are not allowed temporary tattoos, as they wash off easily. Jay Dee felt that as the children were 9 they were a little old for the ball game, however if this game was requested she could have of course included it in the party. Jay Dee had Haribo mini-packs for the pass the parcel, as these are made in a nut free environment which we have found to be the best to use as it seems to be such a common allergy nowadays. We do have parties that request different sweets, or even a parcel without anything edible, which we can cater for without a problem. If we had been made aware that the children were vegetarian she would have packed the parcel with different sweets. Luckily Jay Dee had Starburst sweets on her which she swapped for the vegetarian children so they didn't have to miss out. I am sorry for your disappointment and really hope the explanations above help. Jay Dee is very upset as said you and the children seemed happy on the day, and she is also very grateful for the tip you gave her. Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. The entertainer was prompt and very personable. However I didn't think the sound system was very clear and we struggled to hear what was being said on the microphone. The room was full of high energy 4 year olds and I think the traditional games worked better. The children needed some structure and it helped calm them down in their play. Whilst I had agreed with the entertainer to opt for a mix of high energy games and the traditional ones it would have been good if on the day she had reacted to what was working better with the kids. I appreciate that a room of 30 four year olds is always going to be hyper but it sometimes felt a little chaotic and not structured enough in the flow of games and trying to get all the children involved. Hopefully you find the comments constructive and are not meant as a complaint.

Hi Claire, Thank you for the review. I am so sorry you didn't think the sound system was very clear. It is such a shame as the system is a new one, but I will now be getting it replaced with another one. I am also sorry to hear that you felt the party was not structured enough. We have not had this mentioned before about our parties so I have discussed this fully with Jules your entertainer and how this can be improved going forward. Many thanks for your time.

After reading the reviews and paying £360 I thought we were going to have one amazing party but this unfortunately was not the case.. The 2 girls that came were very nice but struggled to get some of the children's attention .. The balloons they gave out just kept bursting and quite alot of the children were more interested in the bit of soft play I had for the 2 year olds than the entertainment... We have been to a lot of party's this year and unfortunately the parents have said that out of all of them my entertainers were the poorest which wasn't what I had wanted to hear... Unfortunately I would not use them again nor recommend them and am very upset that I am now £360 out of pocket.. I would of paid £150 maximum for both girls.. Next year I will Definately do much more research before choosing my entertainers..

Dear Gina, I have spoken to both Helena and Alice at length about the party they provided for you and they are too really shocked and saddened by your review. They are particularly surprised as they said you went over to them at the end of the party and thanked them for the wonderful entertainment. Also after you requested they organise the birthday cakes at the end of the party, they both stayed over the booked time to do so. Unfortunately balloons do pop, especially when children are playing with them. However they have both said that they re-made any balloons that had burst, to make sure that the children were happy.
