“I don't think I have ever bought dowling before but needed something to reinfoce some outdoor lights and this product seemed perfect, strong and resilient, being oak. The quality of the product seems excelent and the service was great, next say delivery was really appreciated. I would definitely use G&S again.”

“I am teaching myself wood turning from a video course and using my own 'bits' of timber. All going well until at a critical point my timber (just home dried) split. Decided I needed some sound dry wood for this piece and sent an email to G+S on a Sunday pm. First thing on Monday I had a reply giving me what I needed. I ordered it and by Tuesday lunchtime I was turning again with well prepared timber, exactly as described. Top service and top quality. Thank you G+S.”

“Great service - it was here in a flash. I ordered a selection of small pieces for whittling . Wood is perfect and cut precisely. I really valued the 10mm options . Be great to have measurements in inches too - most whittling seems to be US . But great products and service . Thank you”

“G&S helped secure my purchase of a Hapfo Performer lathe, which I’m happy to recommend. Any woodturners who are interested in working on large scale pieces should check this lathe out. In its standard configuration The Hapfo can handle timber up to a metre long, and with its massive 80cm swing over the bed, very large diameter work can be turned between centres. The headstock is formed from one piece of cast iron, and this can be rotated or slid along the rails. Every part of this lathe, from tail stock to tool rest is rock solid, and there really isn’t another machine on the market that can match it.”
