“Great Company, helpful and knowledgeable staff, prompt delivery. I have had several high end (expensive planes) delivered by G&S timber and they have packed them very well which not all companies bother to take the time to do.”

“Very good website. Bought 72mm square spindle blanks of length approx 900mm and they arrived promptly and in good condition. I am a retired gent who is now a woodturning hobbyist and I find this company to be good on price. Wood is great quality and I recommend this supplier”

“The ash arrived very shortly after ordering. It was rough sawn and when planed was excellent. Pity I do not live closer as carriage makes this quite expensive, but if the customer is willing to pay I am happy to use this service. I would certainly recommend G&S for quality timber and service.”

“I have shopped there several times, very happy customer every time I did. The only thing, I'm a beginner in the world of carving and it would be nice if they had more detailed tool descriptions. But otherwise good quality merchandise, speedy delivery, good packaging. Love it all a lot!”

“I ordered a total of 14 No. x 2.4m lengths of 20mm chamfered oak skirting in two deliveries. The product was exceedingly well wrapped with no more than 3 No. lengths per package and excellent foam protection at each end. The delivery service was exemplary. When I open the first package I was somewhat disappointed to find a large knot with hole through the first section, but need not have worried as when cut to length it was of no consequence and the remaining 13 No. were faultless. The machining and factory preparation was excellent so only light hand sanding before the application of Danish Oil was all that was needed. With 60 years of experience in the construction industry, I would thoroughly recommend this supplier and product for both service, product quality and value for money.”
