“Parcel arrived on time but was over packaged with polystrene packing beans, which was dissapointing for a company with green credentials. The eye cream itself feels nice & smells lovely but I haven't noticed any real improvments to skin from using it.”

We understand your concern about the packing materials. The packing noodles we use are actually biodegradable and can be dissolved and washed down the drain – they're not polystyrene. All our boxes are recyclable cardboard and we use no plastic in our delivery packaging.

“I like the scentless, gentle composition of this product. I am frustrated that they went for a cheap dispenser nozzle a flew years back which isn't great. I actually get and clinically clean the old dispenser nozzles to dispense my soap as the new versions are so cheap and nasty. If their dispenser nozzle were better quality they would get a better score as their actually product is great for sensitive skin. Ah”

Shampoos are designed primarily to cleanse the hair and scalp, which can sometimes leave hair feeling a bit dry on its own. A conditioner helps to restore moisture and softness after cleansing. If dryness is a particular concern for you, our Moisturising range might be better suited to your hair type.

We understand how ingredient lists can look overwhelming at first glance. At Green People, we formulate our products using natural and organic ingredients wherever possible, and we avoid harsh synthetic ingredients as standard. Some ingredients may sound unfamiliar because they are listed using their INCI names, which is the internationally required naming system used across all cosmetics, even for natural plant-derived ingredients.
In a small number of cases, we use nature-identical ingredients. These are ingredients that are chemically identical to those found in nature but are made in a laboratory for sustainability, safety and consistency reasons. A good example is benzyl alcohol, which occurs naturally in fruits but would require huge amounts of plant material to extract in its natural form. Using the nature-identical version avoids unnecessary waste and is fully accepted by organic certification bodies.
We aim to be transparent, ethical and responsible while ensuring products are safe, effective and suitable for sensitive skin. You can always find a full breakdown of ingredients and their purpose on each product page, and our customer care team is very happy to explain any ingredient in plain language if that’s helpful.
