Collapsible greenhouse shelving with very poor unstable fixation and not truly collapsible in situ

Delivered 1st April and am still waiting 14th May for it to be built. So that's the reason for this rating.

I am very unhappy with the casual way in which my order has been treated. The greenhouse was delivered later than promised and three weeks later I have still not heard from the installation team to build it.

Greenhouse Stores do not seem to accept any responsibility for any problems with the products they sell and just refer you to the manufacturer. I tried to get Elite to take the greenhouse back and issue a refund as I did not consider it satisfactory quality. Elite said that I would have to arrange to deliver it back to them myself "in a condition ready for resale". As the glass panels are all delivered loose (no packaging at all) there was no way any courier was going to accept a loose pile of glass panes for transit so it was impossible for me to return it. The assembly instructions are so bad that although I used a professional installer whose name was given to me by Greenhouse Stores he appeared unable to assemble the greenhouse (took 4 days to assemble including one day when he just looked at the instructions for two hours then left!). Greenhouse Stores take no responsibility for the competence of the installers whose names they give out. Even when I eventually got the greenhouse assembled the joints do not fit together properly, leaving gaps at the apex and at the corners where the roof meets the walls. Also, the nuts / bolts were of very poor quality and some bolts sheared in half when I tried to tighten them while assembling the staging (I am a 5 foot lady pensioner and was using a tiny 4 inch long hand spanner, so incapable of overtightening anything!) . If you want a company that take responsibility for the quality of the products they sell, try someone else.

The greenhouse I received was not the one I thought I’d bought. It’s extremely flimsy and gives no protection to the cold. I was away when I employed someone to put it up and when I got back was very shocked to see it. I had expected double skinned roof and got single bubble roof. Not atall happy

Hi Philippa, Thank you for your feedback. We've just resent your original confirmation email, you had ordered the Harmony model which is all Single Wall Polycarbonate. Its the Hybrid model that has the mix of Polycarbonate. The Greenhouse Stores Team
Extremely difficult to build, with confusing instructions. Polycarbonate panels failed on the first windy day - coming out of the slots in the frame and bending. I contacted the company and asked how to fit the panels back in - no response to this. When stormy weather then came along, three panels came out completely, others out of their runners, metal cross bars bent. I sent photos of the damage but only response was to send details of any parts that needed replaced. I did not feel that the company were supportive in any way.

A Neptune greenhouse was ordered in April 2024. We were informed on 5th May that it was no longer available and so a Jupiter greenhouse was ordered on 7th May 2024. This was delivered on 15th June. Our builder was unable to understand the complicated instructions and so we asked your company to install it as your website stated this was possible. We asked for this to be done on 24th June but were told by Ian Willstead that this was not possible. We then tried the 4 names you gave us plus 12 others form Checkatrade but none of them agreed to help us. In the end we bought a different greenhouse from The Greenhouse People and it was ordered, delivered and installed within a month. We tried selling your greenhouse and managed to get £650 for it which means we lost about £1,000 on the deal which would not have happened if you had a returns policy which The Greenhouse People had or you were able to instal the greenhouse, as The Greenhouse People did.

The greenhouse was absolutelly terrible to buil. It took over a week to put it together by very skilled builder. The quality is also not the best, whe whole structure is very fragile. My door still cannot open easily and actually landed on the ground few time when it was windy. We needed to repalce the glass with plastic.... I would not recommned the product at all.

Well, I can only comment on one aspect of this and that is the installation service from Vitavia. Greenhouse ordered in October with a lead time of 8-10 weeks, it’s heading towards latter March and still not finished. Installation team found one key part missing so am waiting on completion sometime by somebody. Disaster .

I wouldn't have another, the main frame is strong. But, the door is a terrible design, very hard to open or close. Plus 2 panes of grass were broken, not wrap in paper.

Hello Mr Harris. It sounds like you need to make a small adjustment to the bottom runner on your door. Elite have been attempting to contact you with regards to rectifying it but have been unable to get hold of you. Can you please give them a call 01204 791488 and they will get that rectified for you.
Website said delivery within 30 working days, when i called them up it was 6-8 weeks Shed arrived with no instructions and nails missing For the amount of money I paid for this i'm not at all impressed!

You have taken the money before despatching the greenhouse, and I cannot give a review as we don’t have the item. To my mind you despatch and take the money on the same day. At the moment we are in shall we say a slight grey area of honest trader or other. Time will tell. I cannot recommend your service as of this time of delayed delivery.

I am dismayed at the quality build of the greenhouse I purchased back in the summer. When we have any significant winds the frame distorts so much that the panes of glass pop out of their clips. To date I have replaced 14 panes at a cost of £70 and today another two have been blown out. This is a 10 foot greenhouse and is concreted in the ground but the plinth supplied along the 10 foot side is in two pieces and distorts enough to release the glass, this should be a continuous length and the peg supplied that holds this together is so flimsy it does nothing to strengthen this aspect. So far I have spent £70 pounds replacing the glass (£5/pane) and today another two have been destroyed. I have always had greenhouses wherever I have lived but NEVER have I had one where the wind distorts the frame so much that the glass comes out.

Still not received my green house after buying in May 2018. The delivery options are appalling and very few slots offered to customers for the few deliver dates they offer you without any choice whatsoever being given after already having to wait a long time to have the greenhouse manufactured.

Hi, Delivery on Powder coated Elite greenhouses are 6-8 weeks as stated on our website and also your confirmation email as all Elite greenhouses are built to order.
On the Greenhouse that I bought it was a no clip one, used strips of plastic to hold the panes in ? had to buy clips there was no way that the plastic would fit. The door is also very flimsy had to rig a door stop to stop it from coming off.
