Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Our team were very efficient and orderly in the way they went about the work on our tree. Tidying up ours and adjoining gardens and also the road. Took great care in the shape of the tree. Cannot recommend them enough.”

“The three person team who took down the tree were polite, hard working and highly professional. All three had a constructive attitude about our needs and I was particularly impressed by the skills of the leader of the team who was the tree surgeon. Highly recommended.”

“I have been using Down to Earth Trees for the past 10+ years. I am very particular and like all my Holly Trees shaped and my 4 hedges cut very tightly. Down to Earth, Chris in particular, understood my requirements totally i.e. one of the hedges had been sloping upwards and he used different hedge cutters until he found one strong enough to cut the hedge that it was all one height which more than exceeded my expectation.”

“They carried out work on our conifers at the end of our garden to a satisfactory standard. We had arranged that they do four adjoining neighbours Gardens also. A very hot day and they worked very hard completing this. A good job and no mess, everything was shredded and cleared to a high standard. Will certainly recommend and use them again”

“Nice friendly people, worked well. But there are still a number of roots that have not be ground out and which are very difficicult yo remove without the gear. I don't really blame the crew for this as they would have been difficult to spot amongst the detritus of the job. My recommendation would be to offer both a removal and a removal and claring service - so far I have made 4 estate car loads of roots and gereral grime to the dump and it is the removal of this that has revealed the stumps. Realistically I couldn't have expected the team to have done this in the time they had but the stumps shouldn't still be there. There was also a previously chopped down shrub right next to the hedge which was left in siru which seemed a littly petty when there was 100 yeards of hedge ot be got rid of. This aside very pleased.”

“We have used this company several times for pruning large trees to shrubs. This time our Pittisporum had grown enormous and although we wanted in cut back hard we were very nervous about it. However, the men did a very good job and although it looked a bit sparse, after only a few days we can already see how it is really going to be a great shape. The workers were on time, polite, very knowledgable and left everything tidy. A job well done”

“We were delighted that Down to Earth was able to re-arrange the visit from 22nd June to 28th June. The tree surgery was outstanding, meeting our full requirements leaving the trees with an excellent shape and appearance. We very much appreciated that all the debris was cleared away effectively. Both men were charming and worked very hard. Overall, excellent service and value for money. Elizabeth and Michael Hewitt”
