Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Excellent service at every point from initial booking to final clear up. The tree felling and other site site work was done quickly, efficiently and without any damage to other plants , although the working area was very limited. I would recommend the company to anyone.”

“The team arrived on time and professionally undertook the job, but in a way that me feel they listened to me. They cleared up afterwards, replacing all pots and everything else they had moved, this included in a neighbour's garden. All in all I would certainly recommend Down to Earth to friends”

“As always we are very pleased with the work carried out - in the most difficult of weather conditions and of the trouble taken to lay boards to protect our already sodden lawns .The men had to almost paddle down a side passage to remove all cuttings etc. As always they were pleasant and professional.”

“Apart from initially forgetting to apply for planning permission there were no problems. The initial report on thre tree was very useful as was Alex’s advice. The tree work was done efficiently. Would definitely use them again”

“The operatives who undertook the work were well equiped with appropriate protective clothing. Clearly had a high degree of knowledge and undertook the work safely. All cuttings were cleared effectively. This is the 2nd time I have used this company as they are local and have a good reputation.”

“I have used Down to Earth several times in the past and I have always been impressed by the professionalism, efficiency, organisation, and hard work, and like in the past, I remain very pleased with the service. However, I expected (although not specified by me), that the branch tips at the top of the beech tree, the lateral tips approaching the neighbouring garden, together with the few branches at the very low level would be removed, but did not.”

“They did a grand job cutting down a large willow tree and a holly tree, but there was a problem because of marks left on a white wall of the house from dragging the cut branches up a narrow side passage. However they came round and washed them off quickly afterwards.”

“The team arrived on time and were able to accommodate my request for a morning appointment. They came to prune/trim a Lawson Cypress and small Ginko Biloba to keep both trees at a manageable size for a small garden. It would have been nice to have something placed under the trees to collect the trimmings especially as access to my neighbour''s garden was necessary to carry out the work and a lot of cuttings fell on their flower beds. We are still picking up some of the debris.....!”
