Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“Very neat work. Professional and safe. We were happy with the quote. We had asked instead of grinding the root to put plugs in and were a little surprised that this was not included as the surveyor had suggested it during his visit”

“This is the second year in a row that we have used Down To Earth Trees for our hedge cutting. Their workmanship is exceptional and very professional. “As usual a very friendly efficient knowledgable team ..who always leave garden tidy. Would always recommend this company for any tree work. They were due to prune our apple tree later this year..but when it suddenly fell down they were able to remove it within 10 days..very very helpful .”

“As far as I can recall, since the early 1980s I have called in Down to Earth Trees Ltd / Greencut to fell 7 ancient, dead apple trees, 1 ancient, dead plum tree, 1 enormous conifer, which was leaning precariously over a footpath following gale force winds, 4 laburnum trees, 2 crab apple trees, 2 out of hand cotoneasters, numerous self-seeded rowan trees and a silver birch. More recently I called in Down to Earth to remove a dead hawthorn tree and grind its roots. I therefore think my confidence in the company speaks for itself. I have often recommended them to friends and acquaintances.”
