Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“I've used Down to Earth for many years as I have work carried out on a regular basis. I've always had great customer service from arranging someone to come and quote to those carrying out the work. The work has always been done as I requested with no mess left behind. Everyone has always been very friendly and polite. Very happy with the company.”

“We had a tree down unexpectedly, having fallen obliquely and therefore dangerously on the roof of a shed. A team came the same afternoon, removed the tree and made all safe; very grateful. ..”

“I found this company very professional , When the chap came to survey and quote the work to be carried on a Leyland Cypress and remove a Hazel stump it was obvious he was very experienced and knowledgeable , after a few days the quote I received was what I paid ...no additional costs added after the work. on the day of the work carried out the guys turned up on time and set to work straight away, everything was done correctly in the time quoted to a good professional standard, they were tidy and cleaned up all the debris ,they asked me to examine the work was carried out to my satisfaction before they left. I would certainly use and whole heartedly recommend Down To Earth.”

“Crew friendly and polite. Did job as requested and satisfied with final result. However clearing up not as thorough as usual. Appreciate difficulties with this but main point is neighbours two cars covered with fine dust from chipping machine. This probably not obvious to crew but may be some fault in screening.”

“This is the second time we have used this company. Last time we were totally amazed and impressed when they were called Green Cut. That time they undertook a massive two poplar tree clearance. We wrote a rave review then. Now they are part of Down to Earth we were equally impressed. Another poplar tree completely cleared with speed, skill, intelligence, politeness and care. The site was completely tidied - including neighbours’ gardens. The price was excellent for the work involved and we would certainly use this company again.”

“Although they were very busy owing to heavy winds They arrived promptly when I had an emergency and made the tree safe. They then came back a few days later to finish the job. I was more than satisfied and will of course use them again. The tree was very unusual and had always been thought to be a quince but Dan and Lawrence did some research and discovered it to be a Nashi Pear.”

“We had become very frustrated trying to find a local and knowledgeable arboriculturist capable of identifying the fungal problem with our apple tree. Down To Earth were the only ones who could help and carried out the necessary remedial action at a very reasonale rate, clearing up all debris and advising us on how to prevent the problem reoccurring. We would most definitely recommend Down To Earth and will be using them again.”

“Down to Earth Trees Ltd were very professional in all aspects of the work, from initial quote to completion of the job. In comparison to other quotes that we received they were competitively priced. The knowledge and professionalism shown at the initial visit inspired confidence in the ability of the Company to do a good job. On the day the work was completed, sufficient personnel arrived on site, very well equiped, to undertake the whole job. They discussed the job with us before commencing and left the site very clean and tidy with the logs for our log burner, cut into conveniently sized pieces and stacked neatly on site as agreed.”
