Hi Tony I am sorry you had a bad experience and that the person you picked was not right for the job. This is not common, most of our Grafters are very careful about making sure they can do the job before they turn-up.

Hi Paul, I am very sorry this happened. Sometimes people just let you (and us) down. His account will be suspended and he will not be offered any more work from Grafter.
Absolutely ridiculous. Do the work and get paid by the employer before the cut off of 16:30 which is the last payment run in their terms to make sure the money is paid the same day. Money doesn’t arrive and then they tell you that you have to plan to be paid by 15:30 to make sure the payment is made. No mention of this on their website and the employer is just as mad as me. They won’t be using Grafter again. Note: if you want to be paid on time and in line with Grafters own terms then go to someone else. If you can wait until Grafter and their payment processing firm to get the money to you by the following week give them a go. If you want clear payment terms and a company that stands by them rather than making up adhoc advice on the fly, go to someone else.

Hi Sean, we have been able to discuss this already. Unfortunately there was confusion over whether the cut of time was 3.30 or 4.30 and your payment missed the days payment run. We have already changed the help page to make it more clear about cut-off timings.

Spend time trying to book workers who don't respond in time, who are not local and even when you do try to book someone they don't reply. then Grafter themselves just block your account for not booking anyone... In my experience i ended up waster allot of time and having to reschedule a job.

Over the course of a year you posted 8 jobs and shared contact details with lots of people through the system, but never hired anyone. We have automated systems in place to prevent people posting lots of jobs but not hiring. This is not only to protect our systems and business, but also to prevent wasting the time of our Grafters.
The grafter should be able to give the client a review as a client can give a grafter a negative one sided review effecting the jobs that they get while the client is not effected in any way even though it may have been their fault

I had a terrible experience with a grafter. I left a negative review to warn other people and THEY DELETED my review. I would ask the company: ARE YOU TRYING TO HIDE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS?

Just for clarification, the deleted review was for a worker, not Grafter as a service. Our team have discussed the job with both you and the Grafter. There is a dispute between you and the worker about the nature of the work he was asked to do. He says the work did not match the description, was too difficult with the wrong tools. On balance it was decided that because of the dispute, it is unfair to give the worker (who has otherwise an exemplary record) a bad review. It would have a negative impact on his ability to find future work and his livelihood.
I applied out together a very good profile and applied to all sorts of jobs, but never heard back from even one opportunity? Not reliable.

Hi Thomas - you didn't use the platform to be booked and paid for the job and went directly to the client to be paid cash. If you don't use grafter, we can't help you if you don't get paid properly. The only conversation we had with you, we warned you about going direct and not using the system and you said "Not a clue what you're on about to be honest mate".
Soul destroying experience. treats all temp work like uber. i think its designed for a certain industry but its not ready for the entire job market and to be promoted by the DWP for some reason. The skills section is really limited. it sends you an email that a local jobs come up, you accept and then nothing happens. Dont know why this feels worse than applying properly for a job but it does - maybe because they are such short local jobs. The first email you get after you join is to get reviews from employers (when you've obviously not been employed on the site yet) I hated getting job notifications from them after awhile and focussed on other sites. They need to hire a UX designer and publicise to more employers

I am sorry Grafter wasn't right for you. It is deliberately designed to help people find help for short-term, low-skilled work. I can see that perhaps you were looking for higher skilled jobs. The skills section is deliberately simple, enough detail for the nature of the jobs we support, but a low overhead for people to complete easily. The point of the profile is that you only need to complete it once, then you can use it for multiple jobs that come up - just one-click to apply. Like all services I am afraid you don't get every job you apply for, but we try to make it easier with the stored profile and notifications when jobs come up. The reviews section helps you collate reviews from past employers outside of Grafter, so you can add reviews, even if you have not worked through Grafter yet. We do have a UX designer and most people are very happy with the way Grafter works, I think that you were just looking for a different kind of service.
Unfortunately the grafter I hired through the site, was very slow, ill-equipped and always late. When I complained to Richard at Grafter, he informed me 'we cannot guarantee the ability of the worker, that is for you to assess'. I think this platform is better suited to people who know how to 'assess' labourers and not people like me who are just looking for someone to come and remove their old decking.

I done a whole weeks worth of work to not get paid wich is totally outrageous. I don’t know how there’s so many five stars to be honest. I see the lack in communication in this server.

We are not aware of this issue. If you booked the work through the app, as you are supposed to, we would have made sure you were paid. If you asked the client to pay you cash outside of the app then there is nothing we can do to help if you did not get paid.
Hired two grafters for a day and both couldn’t make it on time by hours, I found hard working Romanians outside selco to save the day, Thanks grafterswhereare

Unfortunately you didn't use Grafter to manage the job/workers, you just used the free search and then went offline to pay cash, which is probably why this happened. Next time please use Grafter to manage the job and we can help make sure they turn up.
