There are at least 20 dissatified custmers for every happy one when it comes to GoCompare's "free excess cover". There ain't no free lunch! It should be pretty obvious that very few customers are going to get their excess refunded. The chances of gettting your excess refunded are virtually nil.

Trying to claim 250 excess. A night mare trying to get documents from insurers re claim. Most people would have given up. I intend to keep trying. Accident claim was handled very well.

Always mythering me about something. I've paid my 12 month insurance. Then I keep getting stuff I have no idea wat thy r rambling on about I only want to hear from them wen my insurance is dew. For renewal. Not every few weeks about stuff I don't understand. If I need them I will let them know. Leave me alone.

Couldn't figure out how to clear my previous car insurance quotes (for which I didn't have the car registration number)when I wanted quotes for a different vehicle (for which I did have car registration number). Couldn't seem to get back to the box where the car's registration number is input. Found the experience very frustrating.

Very disappointed, after having a quote, and decide to go thru they didn't let me buy it on line and asked to call, for my surprise when i called the price has become double.

I’ve been inundated with phone calls from companies I’ve never heard of and don’t trust. I gave up and bought insurance from my previous supplier.

I want a car insurance that doesn't include items that I don't want courtesy car, personal accident, child car seat cover.

These types of products can come as standard with a policy and you are not charged an extra premium for this, you would not be refunded if you did not require these products if they come as standard in the policy. May be a one off, but I am really disappointed with Go Compare on this occasion. Have used GC previously and all went well until the payment to General Accident was to be made. On three occasions on two days, I tried to pay only to get a screen saying that the process has timed out. Lost interest and went to Money Supermarket. Sorry Gio!

Disappointing result. Having used GoCompare previously I was very disappointed on this occasion when checking on House Insurance. The quote provided by Go Compare for Sainsbury's insurance turned out to be over £100 less that the final cost. Not sure why there should be such an increase when my requirements were not changed
